Thank you to our schools, student-athletes, teams, and fans. None of this would be possible without your support!

‼️ REMINDER ‼️
You’re not “lucky” to be where you are.
You didn’t trick anyone to get your job.
You’re not an imposter in a group of experienced experts.
You are where you are thanks to your work, dedication, passion and ability. Don’t doubt that.
I've seen a lot of chatter recently about working in sports. Like any industry, everyone's experience is unique, but here's some perspective I've gained over the years:
Bosses make your experience, not the logo. Bad bosses can 100% break you in sports.
Intentionality with your personal time & boundaries matters. No one will make space for hobbies & your relationships if you don't.
Whether we like it or not, we all spend a lot of our lives working (in sports or not). I feel lucky to enjoy what I do.
Long hours aren't exclusive to sports, but the constant weekend work and 'always on' mentality is different than other industries. You need to be comfortable with the rhythm and pace that comes with it.
Your early years play a big role in your growth trajectory. Build relationships, hone your growth & develop good habits.
There are so many opportunities people never consider in sports because they want the shiny object. Be open, and you might be surprised.
Yes, you will make sacrifices, but you shouldn't have to sacrifice your life. It's important to understand the difference.
It's a lifestyle, but a great one for the right person. If you want a job you can turn off, though, this isn't it.
We work in sports. It should be fun. Period.
Anyone in college athletics can tell you, Sports Information Directors (SID's) can do pretty much anything. Dealing with media, writing stories, taking pics, social media, you name it.
This week, Charleston Southern's Michael Causey added... "Head Coaching Victory"
The story.
