I have learnt that @kizzabesigye1 has been taken to Mulago Hospital.
He will not allow any government official to touch him.
His personal doctor examined him in prison just three hours ago, determined that he urgently needed treatment at her clinic, and has still not been allowed to care for him.
Denying @kizzabesigye1 his lawyers. Denying him bail. Denying him access to his own doctor.
These are injustices no family should have to endure.
We continue to demand justice for @kizzabesigye1.
@KagutaMuseveni
Let me say this very directly.
Football does not belong to investors. It belongs to the people who fill the stands and who stand on the touchline week in, week out, rain or shine.
The World Cup is not a product. It is the greatest competition in world sport, and it was never anyone's to sell. Dress the deal up however you like. Once you have sold a piece of it, you have sold out.
Football belongs to the fans. It always has, and it always will.

Alastair Campbell, "Nigel Farage is a consequential figure in British politics, I doubt Brexit would have happened without him"
"History will say the three key drivers of Brexit: David Cameron who called the referendum, Boris Johnson who led one of the campaigns and Nigel Farage who laid the ground for it"
"Camerons gone, Johnsons gone, and the fact that some people are talking about Nigel Farage becoming the next prime minister, what does that say about our politics?"
"The guy who has helped to inflict the very thing, Brexit, that has weakened our economy, weakened our standing in the world, that we think he should be prime minister?
"It's a form of madness"
"The populism and lies of the Brexit campaigners"
"Brexit was all about taking back control. Partly because we lost our membership of the European Union and so the Dublin Convention, we've lost control"
"Partly because so many Europeans left Britain, went back, doctors, nurses, and carers, we then had the Boris wave of immigration, people from other countries, particularly India, Bangladesh"
"We also have people from Ukraine and Hong Kong which I think the public are more willing to accept"
"The truth is, we have to get the balance right between an aging population, where we're going to need immigrants to do the jobs that British people don't want to do, and we need high skill immigrants"
"Charlatans like Farage are always going to make immigration the issue because they haven't got much else to say about anything else"
"Andy Burnham is very pro European, in his heart he knows Brexit is a disaster, knows that we have to somehow fix it"
"I think it will be a much closer relationship with the European Union"
Africa First Ladies
Miriam Obote (90) the wife to the first prime minister of Uganda the late Apollo Milton Obote , who married her in 1963.
On the right is Maria Nyerere (95) the wife to the first president of Tanzania Mwalimu Nyerere who married her in 1953.
Mama Ngina (93) the wife to the first president of Kenya Mzee Jomo Kenyatta who married her in 1951, is missing in the photo, but she is still going strong.
Their husbands, Obote, Nyerere and Kenyatta died long time ago.
The three women (Miria Obote, Maria Nyerere, and Mama Ngina) have a well-documented close friendship in their later years, often reuniting for events like Uganda Martyrs Day pilgrimages.
Wow. Hunter Biden, who knew Lindsey Graham for decades as a close family friend, not only outs him as gay - but says Washington is ran by a “mafia” of closeted gay Republicans. This tracks.
Hon.Medard Sseggona was once accused of plotting to overthrow government. Prosecution held that he and others held a meeting with rebels in a forest. By coincidence, the day he allegedly met rebels is the same day and time he had his wedding at Namirembe Cathedral.
Friends, this is how Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) built a fake treason case against @kizzabesigye1, @EriasLukwago_ & other Ugandans. With phone calls, gossip and money.
A foreigner (@artfulgypzy) rings Uganda’s military intelligence and calls himself “Orlando.” And the spy chiefs don’t ask, “Is there a plot?” They say: keep him talking. Keep him going.
And who is this man? An American. A former British soldier. A mercenary for hire — once caught teaching police how to torture. Not a patriot. A contractor. And Uganda’s own intelligence is paying him.
So what does the paid man do? Everything. He books the flights. He hands over the dollars. He arranges the fake training. He hides the camera, and he records.
Every meeting they now call treason — he set it up, he funded it, he filmed it.
The plot they are prosecuting is the plot they paid for!
And the officers who will testify? Not one was in the room. Otto took a phone call. Kandiho gave the order to keep the American talking. Birungi inherited a file. And the handler, Atwine — he never even spoke to Orlando! He got it from a middleman, Moses Baraza, who called Orlando his friend after they met online.
So, look at the ladder. Besigye — never there. Orlando — the paid foreigner who was. Moses — repeating Orlando. Atwine — repeating Moses. The generals — reciting the file. Not one honest eyewitness among them. It is gossip in military uniform.
And their story cannot even stand. They swear Besigye was in Geneva on the 24th of January. But on the 23rd he was live on Sanyuka TV in Kasangati! And on the 25th he stood in a Kampala courtroom! Unless the man can fly across the world and back in a night — their story is a lie.
The one man who was truly there — the paid foreigner who wrote the script and played the lead — walks free. And Ugandans face trial for their lives, on his word alone.
They commissioned the story. They paid an American to perform it. They passed it up a ladder of middlemen until it wore a general’s stars. And in that witness box, the most they can say is: “somebody told me.”
That is not justice. That is theatre — and they want a nation to sit quietly and clap.
Marjorie Taylor Greene just delivered the most honest eulogy Lindsey Graham's legacy deserved:
"Lindsey Graham was a neo-con warmonger. A murderer. He wanted to wipe out innocent people in Iran, Gaza, Lebanon. He was a dedicated Zionist. He was the greatest lobbyist the military industrial complex ever had - with over 400 defense contractors in his state alone."
#Uganda has hired more DC lobbyists — a Trump supporter's firm and a Democrat-linked one — in yet another attempt to ward off sanctions. Fact: no amount of PR spin or lobbying can varnish the increasingly violent and tyrannical rule of Museveni's regime.

If you’ve lived with dogs, you know the pain that I’m going through. Around 6:15 this morning, my reckless driver knocked my loyal, trusted friend called Michelle in our compound. I’ve lived with Michelle since 2012, after Sheila and I bought her from a dog show in Lugogo. Actually it was Sheila’s dog.
There were times when everybody abandoned me, and Michelle was there for me. I remember there was a period where I stayed with Michelle for four months, the two of us in this house. Michelle was a very unique friend. She was extremely intelligent and would even knock on my door whenever she wanted to enter my bedroom upstairs. I even told people on my radio show that I have a dog that knocks, and they thought I was lying. That was Michelle. She would also knock whenever she wanted to come to the dining area.
The day I lost my father on 1st September 2019, that’s the day I realized that dogs are like human beings. Michelle came and sat near me in the living room. Because I could not stand the pain of losing my father, I went to my bedroom. Michelle followed me to my bedroom and deliberately refused to leave my side. That’s the kind of friend I have lost.
During the COVID period in 2021, Michelle battled uterine cancer. She underwent surgery at Mutungo Veterinary Clinic, where she spent six days. The doctors discovered she had uterine cancer and removed her uterus. I visited her every single day, and she recovered successfully. Ever since, we lived a good life together. That’s how strong Michelle was.
Today, we have put Michelle to rest. I have lost a loyal and trusted friend.
Those of you who have dogs know the pain I’m going through. In the world we live in today, you can hardly have a loyal friend. A dog will never betray its master.
Losing a loyal dog like that is heartbreaking. They’re family, not just pets. And to lose them to someone’s recklessness makes it hurt even more because it feels so unfair.
