🇨🇺 Cuba says U.S. sanctions are currently blocking more than 7,000 containers carrying food, medicine and essential supplies for Cuba, as officials reiterate their warning that Washington is deliberately engineering a humanitarian crisis that could end in war.

Deputy Prime Minister Óscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga said the cargo, stranded at ports across the Caribbean, includes supplies for Cuba’s energy grid and drinking-water system. He accused those obstructing its delivery of responsibility for the loss of innocent lives.

In a July interview with the New York Times, Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío said the U.S. has the power to “provoke humanitarian difficulties” Cuba cannot prevent. He also warned that military action would cause “thousands of deaths” and “probably… a blood bath” in Cuba, as well as deaths of young Americans.

Carlos Cordeiro, a senior adviser to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and former investment banker, has resigned in protest over FIFA’s proposed sale of a stake in the World Cup.

He just posted this on his LinkedIn, stating it is a "bad deal" for FIFA Members, lacks explanation, logic or transparency.

This is actually a huge development in this story. He basically lays out that FIFA already has vast resources and there is no logic in selling equity.

The whole thing is clearly a grift planned between Trump and Infantino to vastly enrich themselves and their families at the cost of the beautiful game and fans around the world.
