Guy was chalked up to be a plus outfielder and he’s very underwhelming. Just never fully commits on plays. Best he looked was at the all star game last year.

Guy spent a full year wearing the uniform in right field but can’t confidently read the wall. And I imagine most anyone watching this can’t see anything obvious but to me it’s textbook Kyle-Tucker-in-a-Cadillac chili dogging a ball over his head, afraid of the ivy and mis judging a traditional one-hop bounce. And while that’s natural for most opposing outfielders, it’s definitely rare if you just logged 500+ innings playing that exact wall one year ago. Am I overreacting?

I think JD is one of the most underrated guys in Chicago across any category and truly believe he’s an amazing analyst.

That said I feel like Rick Sutcliffe can single handedly spark a 10 game win streak.

Guy lives and breathes with each pitch. So much passion for the game.
