@davidwatson249 I had max subscription for a month to test their computer feature which I subsequently blew through the creds in a day. But I used the “model council” and loved it.
Yeah I really like perplexity to fill in the voids since you can call multiple different models. But I cancelled ChatGPT a long time ago and never looked back. But I actually cancelled perplexity as of a week ago.
xAI is doing some cool things.
But I have actually be just telling Claude, “polish up this prompt and let me review before we start” and honestly that has made things much better.
@nicholosberry What’s funny is that we get so many in a given day with different senders and different topics, but they are formatted in such a way that they all stand out. The ai slop emails certainly stand out.
When does this end? My insurance agency's email address got this email today. I pretend to be many things, like an architect and a marine biologist, among others, but I have never pretended to be an optometrist.
@fatjoedavies I had this same experience the morning on my Team premium account. It seemed like it was telling me I ran out of usage for a week. Now when I go back in it says try again in 24hrs.
So I don’t know.
I do know that the upgrade your plan took me no where.
Based on how quickly you can burn credits using their web ‘computer,’ I do not see how this will be worth even testing. I love the concept, but don’t think I have the wallet for it to do what I want.
Today we're releasing Personal Computer.
Personal Computer integrates with the Perplexity Mac App for secure orchestration across your local files, native apps, and browser.
We’re rolling this out to all Perplexity Max subscribers and everyone on the waitlist starting today.

NOAA put out the spring outlook for eastern NC last week. Coldest winter since 2010–2011. Six‑month rainfall deficits up to nine inches along the coast. Higher‑than‑normal fire danger through spring. Severe storm season starting now.
Around here we save our worry for hurricane season, not March brush fires. Feels like the weather forgot how North Carolina is supposed to work.
NC raised its minimum auto liability limits last July.
First time the state changed those numbers since 1999.
Bodily injury went from 30/60 to 50/100. Property damage went from $25,000 to $50,000. That last one doubled.
Honestly they could have gone further. If it takes 26 years to move these limits again, the new numbers need to actually hold up for a while.
Meanwhile national auto premiums are coming down. NC went the other direction.
Worth knowing when you are reviewing your renewal.
