If you like high adventure science fiction, consider supporting the better creators. One recent discovery I’ve rapidly grown to appreciate is @garethlpowell https://t.co/xaEuTGfoXM
@garethlpowell That’s crazy talk!! Seeing an iconic spaceship like the Millennium Falcon, USS Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or any ship capable of FTL travel doing its thing on the big screen is enough to get my tush in a plush seat at the local cinema! #engage
@hwjohnston7 It depends. I’ve heard that in mystery novels it’s best for the audience to not get ahead of the protagonist in deducing the suspect and motive. Chapters and sections from the villain’s POV works best IMO when their identity remains secret.
@hwjohnston7 I maybe just another of the new kids on the block, but know that I support your efforts, and will happily volunteer to be another set of eyes 👀 (admittedly from Southwest Oklahoma, USA) if you want them. #supportwriters
There’s ALWAYS enough room on your electronic reading device for high adventure science fiction if you know where to find it. @garethlpowell#embersofwar
@hwjohnston7 If past life altering events are properly realized or insinuated, a villain consumed in evil is not necessarily a turn off to me. Make me understand that motivation and I will willingly ride the ride.
@SamSykesSwears If the wizard speaks Gallifreyan and has a big blue box for transport, I might be inclined to go, assuming that she is wearing snazzy suspenders. 👍🏾
“Save the serious editing for later. A perfect first chapter isn’t the same as a completed manuscript.” I’ve heard variations of this for years, and truer words were never spoken. #writeitnow
Given a preference, if one had to setup a new human colony within the solar system, which location would be preferable for a bio-domed city: the barren surface of the moon, or the underwater seas of Europa?
@garethlpowell Ummm.. respectfully NO. That honor goes to John Williams’ Star Wars (1977). Fortunately, Oscar actually got it right that year and gave it the recognition it deserved.
Whom ever said “the greatest unit of measurement in the universe is the distance between the writer’s imagination and the keyboard,” pretty much had it correct. #justkeepwriting
