The Patient Zero video is finally out in the world! Getting to work with Emmanuel Lubezki was something out of a dream sequence, and I learned so much from getting to watch his genius in action. I want to thank Dakota and Colin for trusting me with their time, taste, and talent (Giggling with your friend because you’re twinning for an entire shoot was a new and truly delightful experience). And Colin’s turn as a villain is even more impressive when you get to be around him. He’s an absolute light and as kind as they come. Cara, thank you for agreeing to play the lusty other woman. That’s what friends are for?
With the Patient Zero video, I got to explore the cinematic and literary genres I love so much. I wanted to incorporate elements of gothic ghost stories, true crime, psychological thrillers all in a setting I hadn’t really shot in much. The house was a metaphor for the coldness of a relationship that’s faded and atrophied. Thank you to Ethan Tobman for your insightful production design, and bringing that feeling to life. My editor Chancler Haynes has outdone himself. And lastly, thank you to the VMAs for giving us a World Premiere at the place where celebrating music videos became a thing. And so much love for you guys, always. Watch now on https://t.co/5gUyQ8yBJf
About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs. I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now at https://t.co/bWaNOQ6OmT ❤️🔥

learning that when people say chat they meant chatGPT and were not just referring to the fictional twitch stream viewers of their life was genuinely devastating to me — i thought we were just pretending to get everyone’s opinions 😭😭😭
I’m once again reminded of the fact that Trump won his first election my freshman year of college when I was 18. and I am now 28 and he’s still burning the world. I think the level of mental illness I have is acceptable actually
Environmental job boards are like “we’ve found two new jobs for you: ‘the CEO of American Conservation Experience’ and ‘Unpaid intern at random wildlife sanctuary in Florida’. Hope this helps!”
i understand why people find this revolting but the reality is eating disorders make you do revolting things and it’s nice to hear a man talk openly about having one
Noah being terrified he'd let everyone down with The Great Divide just for it to become a completely non-skip, Grammy-worthy masterpiece and one of our favorite albums ever.
I’ve never stepped on a stage before and felt so numb by shock and disbelief. I cannot believe the energy and the community I saw last night. Thanks for making me cry Philly.
