$8.99 is the cheapest it has been in a long while. The cheapest comparable price was $8.49 in November of 2021.

The Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index is +114% since 1997. Because of hedonic adjustments, the CPI calculation is +22%.

Ten years ago, Congress passed a law known as the CARD act, which significantly curtailed the predatory practices of credit card firms soliciting kids younger than 21.

At the time, the sponsors of the bill argued that college-age kids weren’t sophisticated enough to make proper financial decisions involving large amounts of debt.

This same logic should be applied to student loans.

Combine Rivian+Lucid and it's still not 30k

That scale is like losing an entire Fortune <400 company (maybe even 2 or 3).
