@BBCNews Why does a water company need to advertise? I can't send them my sewage and they can';t supply my water in Newcastle? Why not just spend the money on fixing leaks and avoiding sewage spillage?
She was 82.
A quiet lady.
Her perfume, the same as my Granny's.
I was her doctor.
Fresh out of medical school.
She told me she was dying.
What platitudes could I offer?
What reassurance could I give?
I had no words.
I reached out & held her hand

@Applemint999@ollieburtonmed @callum_a2 @BMA_JuniorDocs @TheBMA@BMA_Consultants@Doctors_Vote@GuvnaJohn Supporting the people I have taught was a delight: I never imagined that the NHS would be so threadbare. I regret not preparing students for the dilemmas this presents to them as doctors. The country should be run for the benefit of its people, not for the few who are wealthy.
Boris Johnson, having given his brother a peerage, his donors honours, his mates billions in PPE contracts, his friends the best jobs, now wants his dad to get a knighthood
In another country, What’s the word for that kind of thing?
@GuvnaJohn@NewcastleHosps Absolutely agree, John. No one encouraging them to do so will support them if something goes wrong - it's THEIR registration that could be at risk. Working beyond competence is a serious fitness to practise issue for the very good reason that it puts patients at risk of harm.
