Rare that I’d ever retweet Ackman, but it’s a moment both he and I can agree on.

Ahmed Al-Ahmed is a Muslim immigrant to Australia and a father of two who runs a small fruit stand and convenience store.

When gunman attacked a Hanukkah event today at Bondi Beach, Ahmed jumped one of the gun men fighting his rifle off of him.

This is despite the fact that the gunmen were only targeting the Hanukkah attendees and not other passers-by and so Ahmed could have walked past unharmed.

Instead Ahmed chose to act to protect others.

Ahmed was shot twice during the ordeal, and was in surgery (but described as stable).

His heroism, helped save even more lives during this horrific tragedy, and importantly gave police an opening on one of the sides of the park to move in against the shooters and eventually end the shooting.

This is what it looks like to be a good man, to be a man of true faith, and to be a good citizen of whatever country you are in.

His actions today, deserve nothing short of praise and support - and hopefully this GoFundMe can ensure he and his family get the support they need for time off, and show that good actions do not go unnoticed in this world!
