While I always try to be constructive with my criticisms about the university I love, there is no defending the level of incompetence with their decision making regarding rules placed on students and greek organizations for football tailgating. To tell greek organizations that they cannot even be in their own houses on fraternity row on gameday is ludicrous.
Instead of working with students and alumni to come to a common sense agreement on rules, they take drastic measures that virtually guarantee there will be zero student support at football.
I spend so much time and energy along with my counterparts to promote the university athletics program FOR FREE, and yet in the end I realize the enemy is our own people.
Someone needs to make this right before you lose more than student support.
Love this video, but if you want to get Students at the game…
1. Let the students have drinking games
2. Let the Greeks go to their houses
3. Fix the parking
I’m not a rocket scientist but if you stop hindering the student experience we will be at 70% or more every game.
Very blessed to say I have committed to the University of Oregon! Thankful for my family, friends and coaches who have helped me through this journey #GoDucks @sanjacgator43 @JackMarder14
