Administrators, remember your veteran teachers probably have more expertise and experience than the people trying to create and sell new curriculum and initiatives to your district. Seek their input first.
@StudentRentPro I’m putting a 16 bedroom (previous) frat house under contract, they lost charter. Across the street from central campus and location doesn’t get any better than this. Looking for rehab ideas and best way to convert. Open to ideas. 2 stories and basement, 1 kitchen
Teachers should not have to work well beyond contracted hours (unpaid) just to get things done. Then we wonder why there is a 50% attrition every 5 years. This year will be off the charts if we don’t change expectations. We need state and district leaders to step up for teachers.
If you want to keep the best teachers, pay them like they're the best and also treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.
Your best employees should be paid 10x the worst.
Companies that equalize salaries for the same job but not same performance are graveyards for top performers.
@StudentRentPro 100% agree. I’ve even told my Agent/Broker NO when she offered to take a lower commission.
I’m not ok with someone asking me to take a pay cut and I sure don’t expect her too either. Plus, she is worth every penny when I get first dibs on properties before they get listed 🤑
