@drewwilson40 Managed it with the older version of heat-time with sikaflex on a couple of collers. Batteries and pcb’s were simpler on those ones though.
Good luck 😬
@robwdrummond We’ve upgraded to a tp-link Archer router and x2 tp-link ‘deco’ units. They use a newer technology called ‘mesh’ and it’s made an insane difference to the wifi at Mossgiel. Did cost about £200 all in though 🙈
@wildmanheather We’re trialling it - so far reasonably good but was VERY expensive to start with as we didn’t do enough prep; also creates a bit more management and planning from a customer service pov for us
@wildmanheather Yep - but sometimes you just need to remind yourself why you’re doing it and where you came from. Being fkd off with it all helps change happen 👌
Some make farming pay by doing tractor work off farm.
Some make farming pay with podcasts & blogs or do talks & appearances to promote farming
Some make farming pay by shearing sheep or foot trimming cows.
Strange how some are regarded as legitimate farmers & others not 🤷🏻♂️
Finest British beef steak burgers cost £6.61 per kg. The fake burger (which is made mostly of pea protein) costs £21.81 per kg. How’s that for premium pricing? https://t.co/oNd4yVni0t
Goodbye @boohoo, you’ve lost a customer.
Keep harming the planet with your synthetic cheap clothes & I’ll stick to supporting companies that support us & aren’t BULLIED into a corner by activists based on false information.
Our animals are our biggest priority. #backbritishwool
@boohoo I invite you (no, I challenge you) to visit my farm, meet the sheep & see what really happens. Shearing does NOT harm sheep. Wool is natural, decomposable, & doesn’t shed particles & harm marine life like man made fibres. When can u visit!? https://t.co/0ZAYnCF9Xk
Livestock are responsible for only 5% of UK greenhouse gas emissions. All the carbon in ruminant methane is recycled carbon – grazing animals can’t add more to the atmosphere than the plants they eat take out by photosynthesis. @SusFoodTrust https://t.co/LMkR5l0JvK
Since every country has got fatter since 1970s, to explain the trend we must look for factors that apply to every county. Meat? No. SatFat? No? Global industrial ultra processed sugar packed food production? Maybe!
This widespread representation of meat as intrinsically harmful is worrying, to the point that some academics, health professionals, and expert committees are now expressing concern that it will add to malnutrition/eating disorders in wealthy countries. https://t.co/6HecAhP7sZ
