@DhananiZain Jaylen Warren, Michael Carter or Rhamondre Stevenson? I’m thinking Rhamondre is Henderson is out, but if he plays I don’t know. I’m leaning Michael Carter if that’s the case I think.
@Duffal0 Bro😂😂 there is literally 0% chance you guys should’ve let the Pacers win that game. You’re right about one thing and it’s the series being wraps. The Pacers are beating you guys, because you can bet your ass they ain’t turning the ball over 20+ times again😂😂
@officialcmgreal As a Celtics fan this is very much appreciated. I’m rooting for you guys to win it, before you guys even beat the Knicks I had an argument with some buddies and I was saying I think the Pacers are winning this shit.
First off the playoff part had nothing to do with you. You have two titles, have won a bunch of series as the best player on a team. You've won everywhere and in every situation.
This is long because it takes nuance, you can just "I ain't reading all that" and that's fine, I accept that.
You had the comments past January about being in the GOAT conversation and based on what you've said about how you view the game, I thought a lot about that argument. And I was saving this for when you retire in a few years but there's a pretty strong argument you're the "Best" player of all time based on idk what to call it, being a hooper I guess. Bucket getting, overall game. Deadly from anywhere on the floor, became a high level passer between 2014 and 2017 and have stayed there, became a top end defender between 2016 and now.
The point was about how there are guys who play where the biggest contribution they make is they make their teammates better, which is why their teams are so good with them on the floor relative to their scoring or rebounding or even assists.
Someone CAN'T argue you don't make teammates better. Your scoring opens their spacing, your teammate allows rim protectors to pursue, your passing sets up teammates. But you're not and have never been a guy where the intangible impact was greater than the tangible. Your stuff is really concrete, it's buckets. It's strong moves. It's drawing fouls. The footwork and floor sense and everything else leads into that stuff but at the end of the day you just kill teams with your skills. And I get why from your perspective that's the most important thing and you know more about basketball than I do so maybe you're right.
But the point was that possession to possession, you alter the game differently than a point guard or a player that's the hub or primary ball handler does (though you handle a ton).
If anything, the closer we get to the end of your career, the more I think it's impossible to accurately assess how good you were because of various outcomes which aren't about how good you, Kevin Durant, were at the game of basketball relative to others. But if the first purpose of professional sports is money, the second is winning, and you've done a lot of both, but the levels and gaps between is where the conversation starts.
