Currently in the Swedenborg Library: an art exhibition by local artist Brenda Rydstrom. “ I think because I am a Swedenborgian, I like to imbue each painting with an inner meaning - a symbolic idea around which the painting or series is based," Rydstrom says.
Last weekend our men's basketball alumni took to the Asplundh Field House for a friendly game, officiated by current men's basketball players. For some of the returning players it was their first time back since graduation; traveling from out of state to be on campus for the day.
Happy Birthday, Emanuel Swedenborg! 🎉
Swedenborg was a well-respected scientist, philosopher, and theologian. His writings inspired the New Church, the faith base which gives Bryn Athyn College its unique Christian outlook.
Mark this date down, on January 28, 2025, Alayna Day became the 3rd member of the women’s basketball 1000 point club at @bryn_athyn@brynathynlions 👏🦁
The big bucket came on a 3-pointer in the 1st quarter. Alayna would finish with 14 points in the win.
Congratulations, Lay!
Over the weekend we invited our men's ice hockey alumni back to campus to hit the rink! 28 alumni played in our annual Red vs White alumni game while other former players came to watch. Thank you to everyone who came out! #BACPride 🦁🏒
Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy. "I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant."
Last night was the Long Night Against Procrastination at Swedenborg Library, complete with therapy dogs for stress relief! Good luck on your midterms, lions! 🦁
