These were men who spent decades in uniform, studied war their entire lives, commanded millions of soldiers, and accepted the burden of sending Americans into combat while sharing the risks and sacrifices of military service.

Patton served in the Veracruz Expedition, WW1 and WW2.

MacArthur served in the Veracruz Expedition, WW1, WW2, and the Korean War.

Meanwhile, Trump received 4 education deferments and 1 medical deferment to avoid the draft over the span of 5 years. Then in 1972 he received a permanent medical exemption. He says it was due to bone spurs but there is no medical records showing that was the case as those records have been destroyed. A Queens podiatrist later said he had helped Trump obtain the diagnosis as a favor to Fred Trump. Also, you can still serve with bone spurs, he is just a coward.

He has never commanded troops in combat and the one campaign he was involved in planning is a generational failure.
