@gl3amz_@theneedledrop and I said its not a part of diet culture, its an ethical stance, why so angry? feeling called out that you're not a good person?
@bosschopp Caring about female animals more than male animals has nothing to do with the patriarchy, it’s just misandry
Veganism that doesn’t originate from a place of compassion has no chance of lasting
Too many people are focused on the sex scene and have forgotten the plot: In Monster’s Ball, Lawrence Musgrove, Leticia’s husband (played by Halle), is executed by the state on death row. Mired in the conditions and stresses of poverty, their son Tyrell, who is showed to be mistreated by his overwhelmed mother Leticia, is killed in a hit and run. Leticia is left alone—no family, no protection. She bonds with Hank, a racist white prison guard grieving his own son’s suicide. Hank is shown as cruel, racist, yet still human, still deserving of healing. But also, we learn that Hank is the executioner that killed her husband.
The implications of the movie are insane: Black male death becomes what makes intimacy and healing possible. The story suggests Black male removal allows for grief to “connect,” and interracial understanding to happen. The white man (Hank) is allowed complexity: he is racist and redeemable, executioner and wounded father, while the Black woman (Hallle) is written as isolated, sexually starved, and expected to find comfort in the very system that destroyed her family. A history of Black male lynching and Black grief is repackaged into a story where white men, even executioners, emerge as the emotional survivors—and ultimately, the saviors.
Oki so a lot of you were asking:
As most of you might know, I was trying out with @ChasmacGaming NA roster. Contacted @toast0ping on Twitter and tryouts went from there.
Have been changing my sleeping schedule for the team, we already agreed on a contract 2 weeks ago /
