Baloch Literacy Campaign

The Baloch Literacy Campaign (BLC) is deeply concerned about the Government Primary School Dilbar Matt, Peer Shari Darbar, Dera Bugti, Balochistan. The school was functional until 2000. However, due to the ups and downs of circumstantial situations, it has remained closed since 2000 and currently looks like a ruined building.

The students of that area lack access to education and are unable to attend any nearby school because there are no operational schools in the vicinity. The local community strongly demands the restoration of the school's functionality so that they can educate their children.

The Baloch Students Action Committee (@BSAC_org ), under its literacy campaign (BLC), urges the concerned authorities to take notice of this issue and ensure the smooth functioning of the school—either in the existing building or in a new one—so that students of the region can easily access education.

We also like to remind the concerned authorities that many regions across Balochistan face same like situations, with non-functional or partially functional infrastructure reduced to ruined buildings rather than functional schools. All such schools need to be rebuilt and renovated as soon as possible.

The concerns over the deteriorating conditions of public library of Dera Murad Jamali.

Baloch Students Action Committee

The public library in Dera Murad Jamali (Teepul), Naseerabad, was constructed in 2018 under the provincial development scheme, viewed as a progress project for the region. However, after its management was transferred to the social welfare department, the library began to deteriorate critically.

Due to major neglect of its core responsibilities by authorities, a shortage of staff such as security guards and peons has resulted in the theft of books and essential equipment. Additionally, in Naseerabad's scorching climate, the lack of air conditioning, electricity, and solar backups has made it nearly impossible for students to study.

The unavailability of books, Wi-Fi, and basic resources like water, electricity power, and staff has effectively left the library in ruins. Students have approached district authorities and library management about the library's critical condition, but no substantial action has been taken. Students demand that these issues be addressed immediately.

The organisation makes it clear that if these issues remain unattended, students will be forced to take strict actions to protect their educational rights and the organisation shall remain in support of the students for the library campaign.

The coastal areas nurtured his perception of life, because he grew up among the fishermen, coastal laborers, and people which gave him a deep understanding of the challenges in life as a Baloch. Throughout his educational journey, He was evolving with the passion and love of performing arts and literary works which shaped his life in a significant way.”

Baloch Literacy Campaign

Baloch Literacy campaign is deeply concerned about the alarming educational crisis in Ronjaan, Tehsil Mashkay, District Awaran, where Government Primary Schools for both, girls and boys, face severe neglect, depriving hundreds of children of their educational right to basic education.

The situation of education in the area remains in critical condition. The primary Girls school has remained completely shut down for almost seven years due to a total absence of teachers and basic resources. Meanwhile, the government boys primary school, which remained closed for 5 years, operates critically under a contract-based teacher who manages over 70 students in a single rented room by the local residents, lacking essential learning facilities.

Baloch Students Action Committee, (@BSAC_org ), under the banner of Baloch Literacy Campaign, urgently demands the concerned educational authorities take immediate notice of the academic in Ronjaan to ensure that every child has access to a safe and supportive learning environment.

بلوچستان یونیورسٹی بلوچستان کا سب سے بڑا تعلیمی ادارہ ہے جو کئی دنوں سے بند ہے۔ پہلے ہاسٹلز بند کیے گئے تھے اور اب کلاسز بھی معطل ہیں۔

We are pleased to share that five Baloch students; Azhar Baloch, Ghos Baksh Baloch, Shehzad Baloch, Anees Baloch and Waseem Baloch, who were forcibly disappeared from Gulshin-e-Iqbal, Karachi, on the night of 5th August by Law Enforcement Agencies and Rangers, have been released and returned home safely. However, two other students Khalil Baloch and Zubair Baloch are still detained and their whereabouts remain unknown.
While we welcome their safe release which is a positive development, but we still seek an end to harassing and enforce disappearances of Baloch students. No any student should be subjected to this heinous punishment. The harassment, intimidation and forced disappearances of Baloch students must be stopped immediately and all the students must be released safely.

Baloch Literacy Campaign

The Baloch Literacy Campaign (BLC) is highly concerned about the drastic condition at Government Girls Middle School, Goth Abdul Rehman Hajwani, located in the Jaffarabad district, which faces a severe educational crisis and basic essential requirements.

The school building has become extremely vulnerable and is on the verge of collapsing, leaving the students and staff feeling unsafe. Furthermore, basic essential resources such as electricity, furniture, and relevant materials are in acute shortage. Such conditions are very much concerning.
Baloch Students Action Committee (@BSAC_org ), under the banner of its ‘Literacy Campaign’ Baloch Literacy Campaign (BLC), demands that the relevant authorities must take immediate notice of the school and implement practical measures to ensure that the students can learn in a safe and supportive learning environment.

یوں تو ہر انسان میں کئی خوبیاں ہوتی ہیں۔ دنیا کا کوئی انسان ایسا نہیں جس میں خوبیاں اور خامیاں نہ ہوں، مگر میر یوسف عزیز مگسی ایک ایسا انسان تھا جسے اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہزاروں خوبیوں سے نوازہ تھا۔

یوسف عزیز مگسی جنوری 1908 کو نواب قیصر خان مگسی کے گھر میں پیدا ہوئے۔ ا��ہوں نے اپنے ابتدائی تعلیم کا آغاز پانچ برس کی عمر میں کیا اور جلد ہی عربی، فارسی، اردو اور انگریزی زبانوں پر عبور حاصل کرلیا تھا۔ ان کی روشن خیالی اور زہن سازی میں انکے استاد کنیہ لال نے کلیدی کردار ادا کیا ہے۔
