The #MOFB Political Action Committee (PAC) has endorsed Brad Pollitt for election in Missouri’s 28th state senate district.
“Brad Pollitt has been a champion for multiple MOFB priorities, building a strong record of supporting Missouri agriculture and standing up for the interests of rural communities,” said Matthew Noakes, St. Clair County Farm Bureau President. “His experience as a livestock producer and educator has given him a unique understanding of the issues facing rural Missouri. We are confident he will continue to be a strong advocate for agriculture and an effective voice for the people of the 28th district.”
MOFB PAC trustees are selected by their county Farm Bureau organizations.
#MOFB President @JGarrettHawkins - "We appreciate @epaleezeldin taking these important steps for American agriculture. We discussed DEF systems, WOTUS, and many of these priorities during his visit last year on National Ag Day in Missouri. Great to see progress turning into action! Farmers need certainty, and this moves us in the right direction. Thank you, Administrator Zeldin and @SecRollins for your continued support and leadership."
#MOFB President @JGarrettHawkins’ statement on the retirement of Congressman Sam Graves
“Farm Bureau members congratulate Congressman Sam Graves on a well-earned retirement after a long career in Congress. Sam has been a Friend of Farm Bureau for many years, and we are sad to see him go, but know that our country’s farmers are better off because of his time spent advocating on their behalf.
“Recently, I had the opportunity to interview Congressman Graves for our popular “Think Big, Do Good” podcast series. Although we covered several topics, both political and personal, I was struck by how pivotal Farm Bureau was in Sam’s story and in launching his career in public service.
“In 1987, area leaders convinced Sam to attend the Young Farmers Conference where he participated in a workshop on local and state government. He chuckled remembering how, during a quiz, he couldn’t correctly name a single elected representative from his region. Soon after, Sam says, he made up his mind to get involved. He started by diving into Farm Bureau’s policy development process, serving on the State Resolutions Committee and as Chairman of the State Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee.
“Soon after, Sam’s enthusiasm for Farm Bureau’s policy work and leadership opportunities as well as his ingenuity as an agribusinessman brought him onstage at AFBF’s annual convention as the National Outstanding Young Farmer. Listening to him describe his experiences, I could sense the pride and determination he gained as a young Farm Bureau leader.
“Working alongside his father and son, Sam remains an active crop producer – one of the few in Congress - and Farm Bureau member who says that time on the combine is still the best way to clear his head. As one of the few members of Congress still directly involved in farming, he has brought firsthand experience to policy discussions and championed common-sense farm policies that protect America’s safe, abundant food supply while ensuring farmers and ranchers can build secure futures of their own. His perspective is rare, valuable, and will be truly missed by all of us. We know that Sam is looking forward to spending more time on the farm and with his family as he enters his next chapter.”

📬 Missouri Farm Bureau stands up for rural America!
In a powerful letter to the editor in @WashTimes, #MOFB President @JGarrettHawkins calls on the @USPS to stop the “Delivering for America” plan that is slowing mail and hurting rural communities.
Rural Missouri families depend on timely mail for prescriptions, bills, business, livestock checks, taxes, and more. Service slowdowns are not a minor inconvenience. President Hawkins urges USPS leadership to rethink changes that unfairly impact rural areas and ensure equal access for all Americans, no matter their zip code.
