He’s just making excuses for being flat out wrong on the three most important decisions a coach makes.

Roster construction
Hitched his wagon to a blind QB, didn’t hire an OC, and valued HS talent over experienced portal players
Also, fire @pat_chun
If Jedd Fisch was only expected to beat teams that have the same or less NIL, the Huskies would go 7-5 this season and fans would be mostly okay with that result. Most likely they will only win 3-4 games instead and barely scraped by WSU & Utah State who have far fewer resources.
Beyond that, the idea when you hire a good coach and pay them large sums of money is that they will beat teams with more talent and resources and not just lose any time they don’t have a talent advantage. Oregon’s NIL resources didn’t prevent Bob Chesney from beating them on the road or stop Iowa from dominating UW and beating Michigan despite being near the bottom in NIL.
The issues at UW are poor coaching and poor roster management. The team commits egregious mistakes that result in penalties and missed assignments. The OL & QB both regressed massively. They chose to focus NIL resources on playing Freshman when there is no guarantee that player will pan out or if they do, that they will stay around for 2-4 more years. If they do stick around, will they be able to meaningfully contribute those first 2 years while they gain strength? Then you have to wonder if they will develop. There has been very little improvement among returning starters from UW’s 2025 team and mostly regression or stagnation.

@HoodHusky@life_of_stein@dubduphuskies@dawg206 In hope to help prevent you from losing more credibility, Hood, you’re in a state referred to as Motivated Reasoning: the tendency to process information in ways that favor a preferred conclusion rather than updating beliefs proportionally to the data.
@Softykjr Tomorrow; Please, please, please ask again if, after reviewing film he thinks EB has earned the nod. Then be prepared to follow up again & again. Literally force our sniveling excuse for a HC to explain the terrible decision we all know he’s going to make
@life_of_stein Definite positives. There will be cause to celebrate if (huge if) Jedd addresses the media Monday acknowledging the massive impact has earned EB all the reps this week and the starting nod. If the program is bigger than Jedd, as it’s supposed to be, he’ll do it.
@HoodHusky@life_of_stein@dubduphuskies@dawg206 We’re all about to witness one of Jedd’s worst qualities as HC & leader when he sticks with Demond. Thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room despite glaring evidence to the contrary.
@HoodHusky It’s Jedd, he bad. Contrarian or just apologist, find one adult CFB fan that agrees this a CFP Defense or Jedd has shown enough/anything warrants him being retained.
claim any coach will have us here in yr 3 while we watch UCLA, OSU, and WF in real time and remember CP & KDB 🥴
@HoodHusky A home game. A must win. A visitor w/travel legs and they scored on 5 of 7 possessions. CFP?
And yes, a terrible offense impacts your defense; mostly after the first part of the 3rd quarter you see it. Not from opening kickoffs
@HoodHusky You’re mistaken on both counts. A CFP defense would have felt that massive energy surge from our backup qb and mustered up 1 stop. They were a sieve all game. The OL can’t run block.
