Meghan was informed of disturbing allegations against her father in the summer of 2018, AFTER her wedding to Prince Harry.

She was assured the allegations were being investigated. A source close to the couple says she was advised that speaking publicly could jeopardize the investigation.

SO WHAT EXACTLY DID YOU EXPECT HER TO DO? Hold a press conference announcing allegations that hadn't been proven?

And Meghan has now explained why she kept Archie and Lilibet away from their grandfather: TO PROTECT HER CHILDREN.

For YEARS, people called her cruel for maintaining those boundaries. Now some of those SAME people are attacking her for not publicly discussing allegations under investigation!

DAMNED IF SHE DOES. DAMNED IF SHE DOESN'T.

Meghan is not responsible for her father's alleged conduct, and she doesn't owe the public confidential information about a police investigation.

Update: @itvnews has seen a copy of the 2018 letter which was passed to Meghan by the Metropolitan Police, outlining allegations about her father, Thomas Markle.
It was this letter - written by someone close to the Markle family - which caused Meghan to cease all contact with her father. As she wrote today, it was to "protect" her children, Archie and Lilibet.

No. In the 2021 Oprah interview, Meghan described unnamed royal family members having "concerns and conversations" with Harry about how dark Archie's skin might be. She and Harry never named King Charles or Catherine. Harry later said they did not accuse the family of racism and distinguished it as unconscious bias.
