Ross Gay’s use of language is something else. Listening to him speak made time freeze. I felt lost in his word to the point I wasn’t hearing words, I was in the memory he was describing. @FarmsWatson

Poem to My Child, If Ever You Shall Be by Ross Gay is absolutely beautiful! While listening to the Georgia tech poetry reading, Ross’s works provided a soothing contrast to the evening of art. @FarmsWatson @poet_tech

The works read at the Bourne poetry reading were truly inspiring. People today are too afraid to say what needs to be said, but Danez Smith isn’t afraid. He knows how to use language to draw attention to issues facing all communities. @poet_tech @FarmsWatson

The way that Danez Smith turns politics into poetry is amazing. With all the polarization in the US today, he puts in perspective what really matters. It’s not who is president but who you choose to be a role model. @poet_tech @FarmsWatson
