We are a group of parents that care deeply for our school district i.e the BSD. We want equitable solutions for each of the 40000 kids who study in BSD schools.

We Love our BSD! The BSD logo in the background is the property of the BSD.
@BeavertonSD is proposing NOT FILLING their brand new Timberlands middle school in order to FAVOR THE WEALTHIEST COMMUNITIES who want to keep their ELITE SUMMA PROGRAM AT THE EXPENSE OF NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS who HAVE THE LONGEST COMMUTE DISTANCE IN THE DISTRICT @KATUNews@KGWNews
@AKukday @BeavertonSD This is grossly unfair by @BeavertonSD as their claims of Walkable Findley and Walkable Jacob Wismer are shattered by reality; Hundreds of Cars lined up to drop kids at Stoller 😢
Map C takes Springville school and shoves it down to Five Oaks, travelling over bunch of areas that are much closer to Five Oaks rather go to Stoller instead. Summa option program continues to remain in Stoller, prioritizing the proximity of an option over regular middle school.

@BeavertonSD It's so detrimental to ask 500 kids to be bused every day for a wrong decision and the math shows that they'd be spending 1.6 days per month in the bus (2,400 min = 1.666667 days). Hoping that BSD believes educational equity that is fair and thriving.
@BeavertonSD Do not prioritize SUMMA an option program at the EXPENSE of neighborhood kids who do NOT HAVE ANY OTHER MS AT A REASONABLE DISTANCE. @chalkup@Oregonian@fox12oregon
@BeavertonSD Kids are our future, irrespective of where they live, their time and memories are irreplaceable! More importantly, kids learn from us (parents, teachers & communities) so it is our primary responsibility to bring equity in our decision and be a role model to them.

@BeavertonSD Trivia: Students with commutes of fewer than 30 minutes got as much as an hour and 15 minutes more exercise than those with longer commutes. Longer commutes deprive kids of the much needed physical education. Say no to #longercommutes@chalkup

@BeavertonSD longer school commutes leads to higher levels of stress, anxiety. Several studies have shown that long-distance commuters suffer from psychosomatic disorders at a much higher rate than people with short trips to work. https://t.co/qBrGq3oQcd

@BeavertonSD Please review this data which shows the ill-effects and overall growth pattern of the school kids and how it impacts their growth over the years
