@1xRhxmqWPKxDVhk Thanks for your interest, but we never converted it into a paper. The idea was to emphasize the dire situation of Spanish households and urge bold policy measures to tackle the energy crisis.
We are sharing our research on the energy crisis. Rising natural gas (300%+⬆️), electricity (600%+⬆️), and gasoline (25%⬆️) prices have put extreme pressure on households’ budgets this last year. We quantify the direct impacts of these price increases on Spanish households. 1/
On the last day of one of our RA, we decided to put into practice all we learned during these months by playing PowerGrid, the boardgame (do not worry, we had the expansion including renewables 😜)
Good luck in your new adventure, @WebeDor !
As the new academic year starts, recent events call for electricity emergency tools and solidarity for the most vulnerable members of our society. At the BSE Energy Research Group, we hope to contribute to this debate and help to design efficient and fair energy policies.
However, policies aimed at reducing demand will not be sufficient to protect households and businesses. We will continue to emphasize how this crisis is taking a toll on the most vulnerable at the expense of excessive profits of energy companies:
