The endless torment of expectations swirling inside my mind
wore me down.
I came to a realization and I finally turned around
to see....
that I could just be me
I was looking through some @KinkyBootsBway playbills and started crying. I first discovered this amazing show in March 2016. I took a chance on it and I'm glad that I did. This show has helped me a lot over the last three years. I'll miss it.
*starting a thread of memories*
Me: entering Japanese cat café.
employee stops me immediately.
Employee: One rule.
Me: Okay.
Employee: Orange cat bites people from France.
Me: I’m not French.
Employee: Good.
I sit down, cats everywhere, peaceful, adorable, therapeutic.
then gigantic orange cat jumps onto table, built like retired wrestler.
Cat staring at me aggressively.
Employee watching nervously from distance.
Me: I thought he only hated French people.
Employee: He improvises.
cat slowly pushes my drink off table while maintaining eye contact.
Me: THIS IS TARGETED.
small child nearby points at cat.
Child: That one evil.
Employee: No no, He just passionate.
cat suddenly climbs onto my lap, starts purring violently.
Me: …wait he likes me?
Employee shocked.
Employee: Impossible.
another worker comes over, then another, entire staff now observing me like chosen prophet.
Manager arrives.
Manager: He has never trusted customer before.
Me: What does that mean.
Manager bows slightly.
Manager: You must take him.
Me: TAKE HIM WHERE.
orange cat already asleep on me.
Employee quietly bringing adoption papers.
Me: I CAME HERE FOR COFFEE.
My heart melted here🥹😭
An dog adoption event was happening in Ohio where many people came to see the dogs.
There was an old man, 71-year-old Gerald, who also attended the event, but he was sitting far away in a chair.
His wife had passed away some time ago; a few days later, his dog also died.
Gerald, with a heavy heart, told a volunteer, "I don’t know why I came here; I just know that I can't bear the loneliness at home."
He just sat on a bench and was watching the people and the dogs with them.
After a while, a 3-year-old Blue Heeler dog named "Hank" was brought into the room, who was looking good and often didn’t go near anyone.
Hank ignored everyone who was standing near him in the room and walked over to Gerald, who was sitting on the bench.
He stopped next to him and sat down by his feet, as if he had found his person.
When Gerald saw him doing this, he became sad and started crying, and Hank was right there with him.
A little while before the event ended, Gerald adopted Hank.
The next morning, we received a message from Gerald, stating that Hank slept with him all night.
He mentioned that it was the first time in the last four months that he slept peacefully at night.
Sad night last night but today is a brighter day. The ewe (female sheep) on the left lambed a stillborn and we were unable to resuscitate it. She cried most of the night longing for her lamb after we removed it.
The ewe on the right lambed twins last week, though they were very small. It seems that today she has given one of her twins to the grieving mother to raise as her own. This is a photo of them together with their new children.
Two brothers spent 8 years recreating Toy Story 3 (2010) shot-for-shot in stop-motion, and Pixar was so impressed they approved the full version to be uploaded to YouTube with the original audio.

The puppy revival scene comes directly from a 1943 real-life incident in “Dalmatians” author Dodie Smith’s life, where her Dalmation Folly birthed 15 puppies, one seemingly stillborn until her husband Alec Beesley revived it using gentle massage. She incorporated it into the 1956 novel. The revived pup, in the novel, was named Cadpig, the runt who obsesses over TV.
This guy on IG told his wife he’d do all the housework if someone from Stranger Things commented on the post, and the cast showed up very clear they understood the assignment.
A few years ago, my then-girlfriend asked me to go to Taco Bell for her. The total was ~$3.40. I paid $5 cash. They said, do you mind if we give you your change in quarters? Some customer had just given them a bunch. I said yeah, no problem.
When the quarters (six of them) clinked in my hand, I could hear from the higher pitch of the clinking that they were not regular quarters. Went home. Checked the dates. They were pre-1964 quarters — 90% silver. I set them aside.
Each of those quarters is now worth about $14. I netted over $80 from a visit to Taco Bell. Get your girl tacos, boys.
For those keeping track: Trump has torn down a third of the White House, illegally put his name on a national monument, and is working overtime to cover up for a sex trafficker for some reason 🤔.
But still no word on lowering grocery, healthcare, and housing prices.
Propaganda I'm not falling for:
- That motherhood is a woman's ultimate purpose or the only path to true fulfillment
- Sacrificing my body, health, or autonomy for pregnancy and kids if it's not what I want
- Believing children will "fix" a bad relationship or complete my life
- Staying silent about unequal emotional labor and housework in relationships
- The myth that single or childfree women are miserable and lonely in old age
Sometimes I forget that Dva is canonically supposed to be streaming her fights can you imagine getting flamed by the entirety of south Korea for not efficiently utilizing defense matrix in a battle and needing to make an apology video for it
Australia enacted gun control laws in 1996 after 35 people were killed in a shooting. It only took ONE shooting for politicians to protect their citizens and implement gun control. They immediately saw a sharp decline in homicide and suicide rates via guns. This is the first mass shooting Australia has had in decades.
Since 2014 almost SIX THOUSAND people have died from mass shootings in the US. Don’t you dare use this tragedy to try and insinuate gun control does not work. More guns is never the solution.
