Today's agreement is a big step towards delivering three daily round trips between Denver and Fort Collins, giving Coloradans transportation options to save us time and money, while reducing traffic and pollution. With no new taxes, and at nearly half the cost of previous studies, this agreement proves that through partnership and collaboration, passenger rail service across the Front Range is not a far-off dream, but a reality. I thank BNSF for their steadfast collaboration, and the Joint Service Executive Committee and Lisa Kaufmann, our lead negotiator, for putting in the hard work to deliver this long-overdue service for Coloradans.

We are taking a major step forward in making passenger rail a reality from Denver to Fort Collins and fulfilling an old promise.
Joint service is about connecting people, communities, and opportunities across our state. This latest step brings us closer to delivering the Front Range passenger rail that Coloradans have been asking for.

A deeply dangerous & blatantly retaliatory action by the Trump administration.
NCAR is one of the most renowned scientific facilities in the WORLD — where scientists perform cutting-edge research everyday.
We will fight this reckless directive with every legal tool we have.
With this major access agreement with @UnionPacific, Colorado will start daily year-round service from Denver to Granby by 2026. The next step is collaborating with @RideRTD, Front Range Passenger Rail to get an access agreement with @BNSFRailway to start the northern Front Range joint service by the end of 2028.

It’s almost like designing a fare policy that maximizes ridership *actually* works.
When the transportation option is frequent, reliable, safe, and in this case FUN, people will utilize the service! 🚞🏂⛷️
One more week to smash some records. https://t.co/i78htozELP
Thanks to the steps we’ve taken, starting today, January 9th, the Winter Park Express will run five days a week, at lower cost, from Denver’s Union Station to Winter Park Resort, with tickets as low as $19 for adults and under $10 for kids.

Today’s grant will make freight rail traffic in some of our busiest growing communities safer quickly while providing critical building blocks for Passenger Rail. This major funding will help achieve important priorities like complying with longstanding federal standards and improving the safety of rail crossings, which can be the sites of dangerous incidents. With more than $66 million in federal support from the Biden-Harris administration, the future of Colorado’s rail network is a clear priority for the federal government, as it should be. We thank @SenatorHick and @SenatorBennet, @RepJoeNeguse and @RepPettersen, and our communities for their support of this important project.
🚉 Proud to be part of today’s historic announcement: $129.5M in federal funding that our office helped secure to build out Colorado’s rail network—including key funding to begin to bring the Front Range Passenger Rail Project to life!
Governor Polis, @SenatorBennet, @RepJoeNeguse, @RepPettersen, state and local leaders are celebrating major funding from @USDOT to improve safety, expand Colorado rail and provide more building blocks for passenger rail.
“…we are closer than ever to a future where passenger rail is a reality for Colorado, our state is powered by clean energy innovation, and our workforce is prepared with the skills they need for the jobs of tomorrow.” 🚆⚡️🛠️
The Biden-Harris administration’s historic infrastructure investments have fixed our roads and bridges, bolstered our economy, revitalized our communities, and created thousands of clean jobs in the sectors of the future. Today, on the third anniversary of this bipartisan law, we are closer than ever to a future where passenger rail is a reality for Colorado, our state is powered by clean energy innovation, and our workforce is prepared with the skills they need for the jobs of tomorrow.
