@LightningMlzzz @MLBMarathon He’s really is not, especially for the price. Bellinger’s a good defender but marsh was not only more valuable on the base paths but also had a better expected batting average, expected slug, and avg exit velo. The only thing Bellinger is very good at is not striking out.

@philscentral_ Is it ridiculous, sure. Do I have a problem with it, absolutely not. It’s growing the game tremendously and no team is unbeatable in baseball. They have weaknesses like everyone else. You gotta applaud a team for using their resources wisely and being incredibly strategic.

Sadly I think that the delay on the Bo Bichette deal means one thing…that Toronto is likely his preferred destination. He’s 100% waiting on the Tucker news to see if he can make a return to the Bluejays…I don’t love being a conditional (strong) second option.

@YankeesFanEarl I understand his defensive struggles but I think he’s worth far more than Bellinger. You don’t find 27 FAs with that quality. Bichette has been consistent (minus one fluke year) at a .300 BA and a 125 WRC+. If he moves to a more hitter friendly park where the power can flourish👀

@jcammisabsbl First, thank you for the fun idea and insight. I’m all in on the Bichette wagon (maybe to slot at third). I don’t think they’d move Keller, but one guy I’d really want from the Pirates is Endy Rodriguez, I think the Phillies could give him a change and unlock that once great bat

@JamesKi71279366 @JohnStolnis Trea turner was one of the best defending short stops last year with his 99th percentile range. Sure Bo has poor range but he’d be a lot better slotting in at second.

@shaun_nestor I think it’s the perfect example of a player performing in a contract year. I think we know what kind of player he is. He’s gritty, he’s a great defender, but he’s absolutely not worth paying like he would put up those offensive numbers again.

@Theblobberton @Johnandeva @PHI_HR_Tracker I’d rather have Stott at third than Bohm. I know arm strength is his weakness but I think he’d still be a very plus defensive asset there. Or a great trade piece. People love trading for a player as safe as him. Though I’m not eager to move him. Could be an elite utility piece.

@Johnandeva @PHI_HR_Tracker Well assuming he’s playing 2b (which he would on our team) I think $25 mil a year is probably a good number (same as Altuve). He’s only 27 so I’m thinking he’s gonna want a long term deal but comes with risk…I think 7 for $175mil makes a lot of sense.

@TheGoodPhight I think JT is the plan B…I think if anything the Phillies should go after an impact bat first. But I wouldn’t mind snagging Heim and Reese McGuire as back up options.
