Wow. Tried to email you but Sentinel has already taken it down. This is what I tried to send...
Just heard the great news that you were laid off! You were actually set free and that’s why I’m so very happy for you.
We live in a world where there is unlimited opportunity to imagine anything and then execute a plan into reality in record time. If you’ve not done so yet, spend some time learning how to best communicate with AI models like Claude and Grok which are transforming how work gets done and is incredible at building something from imagination spark to final product with a roadmap on how to..
Looking forward to hearing more about what your next chapters will be. We’ve been spoiled by you, Plaistead & Pope with some of the best sports and human interest stories in the entire USA.
So go out and celebrate what you built at the Sentinel, and then get on to something even better.
@OmarKelly I think you meant "great". He could make anyone look foolish trying to guard him and probably caused more injuries to other players with his crazy crossovers and step back than any player in history.
@5ReasonsSports Finally... some common sense. Relationships are a two way street. Giannis has to help the Heat, help him and by coming out stating he won't extend anywhere else but Miami will certainly help us retain some assets and not overpay.
Top 10? How about top 5... Regardless of who was on the court with him, those other 4 had their play elevated to another level. That's the true mark of a superstar. He also played in an era with FAR more physicality allowed on the defensive side and if he played today, he would average a triple double.
Love your killer attitude. Cut out the noise and focus on; getting even more consistent longer range on your 3 ball, using your speed better to get people off you by varying it more, a new and improved cross over/handle that will leave opponents in the dust. You've got game and then some!
Not old, declining or washed up but... Despite having much better talent around him for years (which the Heat will not if they gut the team trading for him), he has but 1 championship. The best players bring out another level in the other 4 players on the court with him and he simply has not proven he is that kind of player.
@HeatCulture13 Well said. The fall began when the Heat failed to provide DW with a key role and some type of ownership in the Heat organization. His voice/presence is needed more than gutting the team to land a whale...
@TNTSportsUS There is a very simple way to fix the tanking problem which has only worsened. The premise of my plan is to prevent teams from intentionally tanking. The NBA would have two sessions. Records before and after All Star Break are tracked and measured.
Points are awarded in the 1st half of the season, with the highest points going to teams with the worst record. In the 2nd half, winning matters and teams are awarded the most points post All-Star Break with the highest point going to teams with the best, not worst, records.
Teams would all have a "win now" incentive to improve their seeding chances based on winning, not tanking.
No ping pong balls are awarded and total points between the sessions are calculated based on record.
The best possible score would be if a team finished worst in the 1st half and best in the 2nd half and be awarded the maximum 28 points.
Ranked by worst record Ranked by best record
1st half of the season teams with worst record receive the most points
1 - 14
2 - 13
3 - 12
4 - 11
5 - 10
6 - 9
7 - 8
8 - 7
9 - 6
10 - 5
11 - 4
12 - 3
13 - 2
14 - 1
After All Star Break, teams with best records receive the most points.
1 - 14
2 - 13
3 - 12
4 - 11
5 - 10
6 - 9
7 - 8
8 - 7
9 - 6
10 - 5
11 - 4
12 - 3
13 - 2
14 - 1
As an example; If a team finished dead last in the 1st half of the season they would receive 14 points. If that same team finished 12th in the second half, they would receive another 3 points for a total of 17 points.
If another team finished with the 10th worst record in the 1st half, they would receive 5 points for that period. If they finished with the 2nd-best record after the All-Star Break, they would receive 13 more points for a total of 18, and in this scenario, have the #1 pick.
@Scobleizer We have a special needs son who cannot drive. How much longer before there will no longer be a need to have someone licensed in the drivers chair?
@BigJoeBastardi Um, big dog... As the old adage goes, sports stats are for losers and Miami won the game. Does not matter by how much or which team had the best stats. All that counts is the W. Here's hoping they both get in and can meet again!
I was young then and lived through the assassinations of JFK, RFK, MLK, and in recent history, 9/11. This feels like those watershed moments, only somehow worse. Soul piercing in a profoundly different way. As our Vice President state, "We've got it from here". It's time to put actions behind intentions. We can no longer tolerate hate speech from the left. The FCC under Trump needs to pull licenses from any network that incites, promotes, or propagates hate and violence. It begins there with the left's daily message points picked up and eschewed by the left wing media. We need to cut off the proverbial head of the snake and move on to the tributaries without violence but with absolute resolve to do so.
@elonmusk Reimagine the IRS—shift its mission from collections to providing citizens with a tax bill. The IRS receives data from employers, banks, investment firms, etc. The 7,000-page tax code is incomprehensible to most experts. The IRS should issue bills, and if a CPA should find savings exceeding 10%, the tax bill drops by 20%. This incentivizes the IRS to be accurate initially. AI or supercomputers could handle nearly all processing, reducing staffing at the IRS by at least 80%. Everyone understands the need to pay taxes however we should not need to hire tax firms to figure out what we should have to pay nor fear a body of our government. This could be easily simplified into a service bureau...
@BigJoeBastardi OK Amazon, Target et al. Here is what I'd do. Friday, Feb 28th take an additional 5% off any order up to $200, 7% off any order between $201 to $500 and 10% off any order over $501... Lets see how many people boycott that lol!
