While most Dawgs fans are upset with how the season ended, I would like to take another approach.

I understand it didn’t end the way we all wanted it to end, myself included. I understand there is unrest and fans looking to blame and fire coaches.

I understand some of you want Bobo gone, want to run poor Parker Jones out of town, or even put it on the shoulders of Stacy Searles. I even saw some “Dawg Fans” criticizing Gunner Stockton in his 2nd ever start. Game 1. SECCG Game 2. CFB Playoff. Come on now, let’s be better than that.

We can all have our end of season thoughts. The thing I can’t stand is all of the negativity. I scroll past negativity quicker than most.

My 17 YO son and I talked it out after the game. He quickly tole me the sky was falling and he hates this team.

That gave me immediate pause. I said, be careful with your words son. And he did. We talked about the positives from this past season and what that can mean going into the 2025 season.

We talked about the fact that these kids are his sisters age (sophomore at UGA) and do they deserve to be ridiculed to the extent we see on social media? He quickly saw it my way.

We then talked about how much fun we had all season long. How much fun we had on that entire Saturday when ESPN and College Game Day came into Athens on November 16. We both had an amazing time that day. Those are the things you can not replace.

He then came and gave me a big hug, thanked me, then told me he loved me. I would not swap these moments out for anything under the sun. This is what it is all about.

Sports is an event that brings communities, families, and fans together.

I would not know most of you outside of the Dawg community. I am quite proud and honored to call you all friends.

Let’s keep the negativity to a minimum, enjoy the friends and family, and all come together as #DawgNation knowing this team will be back in the mix next season.

We get no pomp and circumstance. No pregame show. ZERO dedicated National exposure for 30 minutes leading up to this game.

We are forced to delay and will cut in for kickoff only. Fail.
