Big picture take irrespective of this particular decision: there has to be a set of rules all agree to be bound under for college sports to function. Arbitrary rule by random judges across the country is an untenable way to manage the sport.

This is the end of the NCAA. He admittedly broke the cardinal rule, punishment is clear, and yet money talks and he will play. Kind of disgusting to be honest. Even if he was still a Bearcat, I'd feel the same way. Rules are there for a reason.
