Free agent after covering Ravens for 15 years, most recently for @PressBoxOnline. Previously BaltSun copy editor, Bucknell SID. Probably watching midmajor hoops

FIFA comes right out and admits that it snatched up massive number of hotel rooms to create an artificial shortage and drive up the prices. What a horrible organization.
@fifamedia Why are you involved in booking up mass amounts of hotel rooms, limiting supply for fans and thus causing them to buy at higher prices, before cancelling as you don't need them, after fans have paid way over the odds for them in an artificial shortage and economy you created?
Red Sox interim third base coach Chad Epperson was standing on the field of play as he waved around the runner. Bizarre.
Upon review, Taylor Ward's throw home to Adley Rutschman resulted in an out, beating Wilyer Abreu
.@Buster_ESPN on the Red Sox:
“What I’ve heard today is, they’re aggressively looking for a right-handed hitter… It might be a case where the Red Sox are willing to take on a bad contract.”

Fifa has been accused of using unofficial resale websites to shift cut-price World Cup tickets in an effort to avoid refunding those who paid face value.
As @ben_rumsby explains, the claim emerged days after the governing body was subpoenaed by the New York and New Jersey attorney generals amid allegations supporters had been misled over seating plans at stadiums ⤵️

As much as I love that we're guaranteed to get one of "ours" to Omaha, I'm immediately filled with dread when wondering how the Power conferences are going to "fix" the game to keep this from happening again.

Bombshell: The #Browns are finalizing a trade of Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the #Rams in a shocker, sources tell me, @TomPelissero & @AdamSchefter.
Cleveland would send Garrett to LA in exchange for star edge Jared Verse, a first-rounder, and more.
The #Giants add another veteran WR: The team is signing JuJu Smith-Schuster after today’s workout, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Added today:
Odell Beckham
Braxton Berrios
Smith-Schuster
We talked to nearly 100 people about youth sports in New Jersey and found a predatory industry that is leaving parents broke, exhausted and wondering how the games of their childhood took over their adult lives. Our six-month investigation: https://t.co/plE3w618qt
Every day, @CoachBehanSJC reminds us what courage, resilience, gratitude, and perspective truly look like.
Pat is an outstanding basketball coach and one of the fiercest competitors I know. He is relentlessly committed to helping @Bucknell_MBB improve and grow every day. But his greatest strengths have nothing to do with basketball. They are found in the way he loves others, supports his teammates, and continues to fight with unwavering determination. His wife, Nataly, is one of the toughest, most loving people I have ever met, and together they continue to inspire so many of us.
In a profession that often focuses on results and the next challenge, Pat reminds us that perspective is a gift. ALS is an unfair opponent, but he continues to meet it with strength and courage. His journey is bigger than basketball—it is a powerful reminder of what it means to keep moving forward, keep believing, and keep fighting when faced with life's toughest challenges.
A special thank you to @CBSSports and congratulations to the team behind this #SportsEmmys Award for Outstanding Sports Feature: Short Form. This recognition is deserved, but more importantly, the story has allowed so many people to see who Pat truly is—an assistant coach, teammate, husband, friend, and relentless fighter. By sharing his journey, they have brought awareness to ALS and inspired countless people across the country.
We love Pat. My teammate, my colleague, my brother—keep punching.
Our entire @Bucknell_Bison family stands behind Pat and the Behan family. Please continue to share Pat's story and support his fight. Visit https://t.co/Vh8GMkZlNb to learn more and find ways to help.
We are Behan Strong. 💙💛 #BehanStrong

The fact that the #Orioles pinch-hit Tyler O’Neill as some sort of advantageous strategic maneuver is laughable. Does any other team have a .150 guy hitting in the heart of the order as often as this team does? Elias needs to just take the L and get him outta here
Tyler O’Neill has started 556 games in his MLB career. This will be only the third time he’s hit in the No. 9 hole. He last did so in 2022.
With the Orioles, O’Neill has always been between the Nos. 2 and 5 holes when starting vs. a LHP.
Until today.
Back in December 2024, Mike Elias, president of baseball operations, discussed Tyler O’Neill after signing him to a three-year deal worth $49.5 million, representing the first player to sign a multiyear contract in the Elias era. The club’s top baseball chief labeled O’Neill a perfect fit.
The Orioles believed they were buying middle-of-the-order thunder. Instead, they invested in one of the least productive hitters in baseball, writes Josh Tolentino.
