Some thoughts.

Great games sell consoles.

Game publishers should not abandon physical media.

Games are not a service.

Games are an artform that people desire to collect, enjoy, share and experience again and again.

We moved too quickly towards turning these ambitious experiences into clickable buttons in ephemeral digital libraries.

We’ve traded in the cultural resonance of collecting for the isolation of trend-chasing convenience.
