@DrewBeckie @CPLsoccer @USLChampionship There should be second-tier club competition like they have at UEFA with USL, CanPL, maybe Liga Ascenso, the leagues in Central America and Carribean, so teams from USL and CanPL and others have a chance for international trophies. The setup now gives them no chance at that.

@MLS_Buzz If MLS keeps growing, it will be alone in the region given problems with Liga MX in producing teams Europeans might want to watch. More money, more great players, but no CONCACAF tournaments to show our clubs are worth much. The FIFA Club World Cup is fun, but won't really help.

@MLS_Buzz MLS's dedication to team parity is because of geography (so many markets, fans can't travel, etc.) and because soccer is not a decades-old sport here. I don't know how fans of the SFL deal with just having two teams who win everything nationally, but local fandom is powerful.

@MLS_Buzz This is a problem not with MLS but with the CONCACAF region. Our leagues don't load up a few teams so they can compete in an international cup like the UEFA Champions. Most leagues here (outside of MLS) don't attract international players and are relatively broke, even Mexico.
