- wins the UFC interim heavyweight title

- instead of getting a title unification fight, the UFC rebooked Jones vs Miocic

- instead of sitting out, he stays active and takes a fight against Curtis Blaydes and KOs him in 60 seconds

- Jones beats Miocic and makes Tom Aspinall wait a total of 217 days before finally announcing his retirement

- Tom promises to be an active champion and takes a fight against Ciryl Gane

- He gets poked in both eyes, ending the fight in a no contest

- gets made fun of by Jon Jones and MMA fans for “quitting” and “faking” his injury

- The injury turns out to be serious and he is sidelined for a total of 324 days and had to get 4 surgeries on his eyes

- He accepted a title fight to try and come back, but re-injured his eye

- Has now vacated his title to keep the division moving for the fighters and fans

- Could potentially be the end of his MMA career
