D3 football: Not sure those who cover D3 saw UW-River Falls being North Central with DEFENSE, but Falcons did just that. North Central had scored at least 20 points in 101 consecutive games. Streak started after a 17-7 victory over Saint John's -- on 11/18/17.

This is the BEAUTY of college sports.

Prior to 2021, Wisconsin-River Falls had 19 (!) straight losing seasons.

The Falcons’ record in that span was 51-137 (.271).

Now, UW-River Falls is a D-III National Champion.

By beating a team that won 3 of the last 5 🏆.
