Mikel Brown Jr. tells me he’s been fully cleared of the back injury he suffered at Louisville, per medicals at the NBA Draft Combine. His first workout is this week with the Utah Jazz. Brown is a projected top 10 pick in the 2026 draft.
I’m not one of the people that’s off Nate Ament
He took some time to adapt to the college game and didn’t dominate the way many thought he would, but he was playing his best basketball at the end of the year
If anything, he proved he will get better!

According to league sources the Brooklyn nets are rumored to be connected to Nate Ament.
Amazing to me Nets fans think Demin was a reach after this season. 19th youngest player in NBA who set league shooting records. As league source told me after Draft, you’ll start seeing development in Year 1 but by Year 3/4, when Nets have real players, you’ll see him blossom.
Mikel Brown Jr. reveals that he prefers a coaching style that is hard and keeps him accountable because he knows what he is truly capable of “on both sides of the floor,” per @eric_nehm:
“I love to be coached hard. I appreciate being held accountable, right? I love that type of coaching, and that’s how I’ve been raised all my life, and every single coach that I’ve played for has done that and got me to this point. So I wouldn’t have it any other way.
…
[The Bucks] understand what I’m capable of on both ends of the floor, and I think they understand that they’re going to want to hold me to that standard, and I appreciate that,” Brown said. “I love being held accountable. I love being held to a standard that I know I can hit.”

the nets are in no position to turn up their noses at a transcendent talent just because he'd be difficult to build a championship roster around. the cupboard is almost completely bare right now. if you can get this kind of talent to galvanize the team and the city, you do it
If the Nets draft Darius Acuff, a back court of Acuff and Egor would have an absurd level of the clutch gene. Watching those two at the end of close games would be must see TV.
"Definitely on the defensive end... just be more focused on that side of the ball so I not only play but stay on the court."
Darius Acuff Jr. assesses what he needs to improve on for him to make an instant impact in the NBA💯
Darius Acuff Jr. will be the steal of this draft if he falls to 6 or 7. Doesn’t have Peterson’s height or length but extreme intangibles and willpower.
Mikel Brown Jr, if he is there and healthy, seems like a pretty easy choice at 6th.
Has the upside to dribble, pass and shoot along with size. His nuclear shooting and high 3pr give him the highest upside of anyone outside the top 4 by a good margin.
