They manage ~$4.65 trillion in assets and similar liabilities, spread globally, but auditors keep issuing "disclaimers of opinion" due to material weaknesses, poor tracking, and inability to verify large chunks (historically 60%+ of assets unaccounted for in detail).

Billions in adjustments, legacy systems, contractor-held property—the excuses are consistent. Congress keeps funding it at near $1 trillion levels anyway.
