My Bitcoin story is pure luck.
First I luckily worked my ass off to earn a high income.
Then I luckily spent all my free time learning about the history of money and distributed systems.
Then I luckily took all my money and invested it into bitcoin.
Then luckily I convinced my wife to live on 25% of our income while we put the rest into bitcoin.
Then I luckily didn’t go on vacation or buy nice things for years.
Then luckily everyone laughed at me / told me how wrong I was
Then I luckily sold my car and drove a shitty fucking moped to stack more sats.
Then I luckily suffered through multiple 80% drawdowns.
Then I luckily doubled down at the bottoms.
Then I luckily persisted for a decade.
Pure luck all of it.
Thank god I’m lucky.
If I wasn’t I’d be totally fucked.
@wesbos I don't understand the hate. It's been kind of mind blowing how easily I've been able to do things with it and it feels like a new framework for using AI in everyday life.
@ph_singer@bradenkeith@richiemcilroy I knew the tools were capable, clawdbot just packages all that functionality nicely into a system dedicated to helping you. It's hard to explain unless you give it a real shot. I'm newly hooked on teaching it to do things for me. Would not suggest it for the non-technical though
@bradenkeith@richiemcilroy I spent the week with it and feel like I'm getting value from it so far for managing my projects, clawdbot can update my obsidian task manager tasks, im experimenting using iPad on Voice Control to do this hands free+remotely. It can scan and make PRs. Make custom daily reports
I had no desire to be rich so I could buy a Rolex or a Lamborghini.
I wanted to be rich so I could control my time and go for a long run at 10am on a Tuesday or take the afternoon off to hang out with my daughter.
Focus on what matters, not materialist bullshit. Life is short.
There was a time when Saylor sounded like Peter Schiff.
Before you understand Bitcoin, you’re skeptical.
Then you learn more about fiat and and Bitcoin.
Next, you can’t stop buying Bitcoin.
"Bitcoin isn't physical!"
Neither is your credit score, your mortgage, or the $7 trillion the Fed printed in 2020.
But you believe in those.
Money is a mental construct. Always has been.
Bitcoin is just the first version that can't be diluted by committee.
I'm a bitcoiner. I don't want a Lambo. I want monetary freedom.
Freedom from fiat. This isn't about wealth signaling. It's about sovereignty.
Lambos break down. Principles don't.
