Had great expectations from 2025 crypto-wise. Trump was just assuming office, first thing he did, even before formally taking the seat, was releasing a meme coin. The whole administration was very vocally pro-crypto.

It’s been about 4 years since the last bull market, so as said, all signs pointed towards a terrific 2025.

However, not only did we not have a bull market, it feels like we are at an all-time low in sentiment. Altcoins have bled 99%. DeFi means nothing to most people.

Very few projects remained faithful to the cause.
Even fewer found an organic product–market fit.

I am very proud to be behind the steering wheel of one of them: @overtime_io.

Prediction markets became a huge thing. Little does anyone know that Overtime actually started as a prediction markets platform, but we chose not to call it that, because the previous administration took punitive actions against such projects.
So somehow the whole momentum still faded Overtime. Or maybe we just don’t have vested interests within the White House like some of the more prominent prediction market platforms.

Still, we can’t be anything less than thrilled with how 2025 turned out for Overtime.

In March 2025, we embraced the $OVER branding and released the token, with fully organic buyback-and-burn tokenomics.
This resulted in more than 13% of the total supply burned permanently in 2025 alone, purely from protocol fees. No incentives, no emissions, no games.

During the summer, we worked on integrating Mollybet, the leading sports-betting broker worldwide. This led to tens of thousands of users seamlessly getting access to decentralized betting, and to date north of $10,000,000 in nominal volume — while still being in an early, almost beta phase.

We kept improving the UX and the product.
- Custom bet builders.
- Live bets on props.
- 1-click transactions.
- Thousands of markets available at any given moment.

All of this while remaining loyal to the Web3 ethos: a permissionless, immutable, smart-contract-based protocol, built on Ethereum.

I don’t know what macro will bring in 2026.
I don’t know when sentiment flips.
I don’t know when people start caring again.
