@thedataoutlier@databallr Great question! The math with Mazulla ball in regular season works for sure. In the playoffs with a 6-7 games series, how much does the variance in 3 point shooting hurt them in a small sample size setting? Any data on this? @databallr
@CoreyB08@jakeissenberg Grant contract is bad. 2 more years to go at 35 mil per year. In most cases need to use a FRP to dumb it... 1 yr is much better for trade salary matching but 2 yrs is a different beast
@NateDuncanNBA Nate, u mentioned JB consolidation trade not likely; but how about a scenario to get younger finding next JB with JB going to Magic for Franz, Black & Goga? (Salary match) Celts will have more youth, flexibility and depth with Franz+Black; still high floor tho ceiling unchanged
@Pete_Collins_ They probably won’t be spending on LBs; already over 20 million on Spillane and Ellis; more likely adding a 3rd/4th round pick on this non premium position
@_AndrewCallahan I think Bitonio could be a realistic option (Vrabel Browns connection, 7-11 million AAV?) to provide stability for a year or two while they develop a mid round pick behind the scenes
@tkyles39 I heard Nate Tice said our run defense (run EPA per play) has regressed since week 9? And overall defense is well below average based on advanced stats?
@_The_Prophet__ Wow, India has such a great record of treating foreign companies and protecting their interests! What a relief it is going all-in there!!!
@MikeGiardi It’s only fair to provide some contexts: 1) very little talent on roster due to the last several BB drafts, 2) team morale very low after BB lowballing home grown players like J Meyers, 3) no free agent would want to join Mayo’s inexperienced staff with a unproven rookie QB
@ezlazar while Zac Robinson and Nick Haley are a bit underwhelming; knew Josh has always been very good but worried about how well he could adapt and update his playbook; glad to see he’s got the flexibility to innovate and grow
