there's an app called slowly and it's basically the modern version of sending letters and actually waiting for them to be sent and to arrive. it takes hours and even days, depending on where the letter is coming from, for you to receive a letter. the pen-pal era all over again.
Y'all want Black women to be your mammies, mules, comfort, "spirit animals", whipping posts, saviors... anything but equal citizens w/ equal rights & humanity in society. Y'all wanna dress up like us, talk like us, project your issues onto us but then erase us as needed. Nope.
"The general idea seems to be that humans are so busy pursuing complicated forms of self-actualization that we’d like much of our life to be assembled for us, as if from a kit." *chefs kiss* @jiatolentino

@Starkk_001@dareuswhite @LilParii @TheDosageBrand I know that black people primarily date eachother. My point was about “some” of the prominent black figures in the media that we consume.
It’s worth discussing because the media clearly raises a lot of people.
@CXLF2@HolidayKarriema@kiaraalicex3@TheDosageBrand@prettyindie My point wasn’t that we have to marry eachother. The point is that there is a complex with some black men who feel that marrying white is a status symbol once they reach a certain position... not necessarily speaking about the men in the photo either. Just a general observation
@Stevestout20@Starkk_001@dareuswhite @LilParii @TheDosageBrand No one said other black men are responsible. Observing just helps us to see how things happen. This is how history gets written. It’s just another perspective that matters
@kiaraalicex3@TheDosageBrand@prettyindie That was not the point and you missed it. It’s a valid observation about what some black men do when they gtt et into power. Observing patterns and trends is necessary part of identifying societal problems/trends which help us move accordingly in the future
