District track is tomorrow for AG and there are high hopes for this Bluejay squad. But listen to this master class from The Professor, Senior Landon Mohs, who speaks of the relationships between athletes and coaches that make this team so cohesive.

Jays track standout Averi Bridges keeps proving how elite of an athlete she is. Already one of the nation’s top volleyball prospects, she’s also rising fast on the track. She says the sport has strengthened her mentally and physically

Sophomore Grayson Nolan is in the midst of a fantastic track season for AG. He’s improved his times drastically in the sprints over the last year. The human meteor says weights and conditioning have played key roles in his transformation.

Fortitude? AG’s Barrett Kitrell owns it. Broken bone in his discus/shot throwing hand, yet he has prevailed this season. Today, he’ll try the shot put for the 1st time, but he’s mastered the pain to throw discus all season. Barrett says his brother inspired him to push through.

Friends and competitors. Great buddies Caleb Schinck and Barrett Kitrell have battled in discus, with Schink even leading Barrett at one point at Conference. But the big fellas love that they make each other better, and today at Districts, they want more of the same.

Three years ago, reigning Metro Coach of the Year Ashleigh Kitrell made the decision to come to AG as the head coach for girls track. Since then, Kitrell has watched her program transform—from a team uncertain of its potential to one that now fully believes in what it can achieve

It’s been a season of steady growth and standout storylines for this AG boys track team. Today gives them the chance to pour all that diligence and grit into their performances at District Track. Head coach Brian Thimm says he wants his team to lean into their competitiveness.

Senior Logan Fangmeyer never ceases to impress me. He’s the ultimate team guy, smart as a whip, and so very coachable. There isn’t a coach that doesn’t love this kid. Logan says his traits got passed down from his parents and he credits saying “yes” to coaches has made him better

I know one assistant coach who can’t wait to get to Burke today for state track. Dave Nygren brings his considerable talents to the high jumpers, Lauren Gerdes and Ty Beetison. Nygren says they both have tremendous attributes when it comes to this event.
