Every good thing he's done can be overturned the second he leaves office. Every bad thing (war, debt/inflation) will be felt for generations. I'm happy for some immigration wins, but overall he's a disappointment. He might be able to get some energy from the base if he can get SAVE act passed.

Imagine congressional Republicans actually doing things they run on. Maybe pass the save act, maybe pass a budget (balanced? ) that codify the doge cuts, maybe make it harder for illegals to work and get housing, maybe repeal and replace obamacare? But no, lets divide the coalition and do nothing!

@Villgecrazylady It makes security look worse and even suspicious imo. Brian in the interview also said he identified the roof and ask cops if they would cover it or security. The cops said back an affirmative but didn't specify. How do you not verify it's covered?

You miss the point. Idc about your trump arguments. What has congress done to codify DOGE? What have they done to sure up elections? What have they done to balance the budget? Why aren't they going after employers of illegals? All those things are 80/20 issues and progress could be made.

No, my initial reply was about Republicans. I did not mention trump. You replied with a diatribe about trump and I replied to a few points you made (so you know i read it) and tried to steer it back to my point-congressional Republicans. You only addressed what I said about trump, not congress.

How about Rand Paul's 4 Penny plan? (Might be dime plan now). I'm not convinced that a lot of the mandatory spending for entitlements isn't about 40% fraud or waste after what we've seen. If true, cutting that alone would balance the budget. How about a congressional DOGE program, where the cuts can actually be made?

No one said it would be easy, and it won't be done in 4 years. But congress can make incremental steps and they've done nothing. I would start with Rand Paul's penny plan (although it might be the dime plan now).

When have R's actually cut anything? They don't ever cut because the d's cry before they do. And they fall back everytime.

Again, my major critism is about congressional Republicans. Did you not read my reply? Making everything about Trump is irrelevant, as he will be out in a couple years and everything will he did can easily be overturned. You can lament all the great things he's done, but none are long-lasting. We still can't get rid of Obama care (which Republicans help pass) because of how it was done.

I said Republicans, not Trump. Those two aren't synonymous. Because the only real change goes through congress. Everything Trump has done, just like his first term, can be overturned with a stroke of a pen.

As for shrinking gov't, he's done a little bit of trimming, but no where near enough. 7T a year in spending with a 2T deficit is unsustainable. DOGE might have worked, but only as a congressional program. That's who holds the power of the purse.

Fighting corruption? I must have missed the arrests. And there's many questionable things Trump has done that could be considered corrupt.

As for the judges, they can be impeached. He hasn't pushed for that, nor has congress. He's even had justices he got appointed rule against him.

Then they'll drive the country off a cliff quicker than we're headed now. Plus, they always seem to somehow get just enough republican support to pass what they want. But it rarely goes the other way, unless it's increased spending or they put their pork in with the republicans. It's all political theater, on both sides, and I think a lot of people are sick of it.
