"Historically, there has scarcely been a ceasefire agreement that Israel hasn’t been eager to violate so it can maintain the fresh trail of dead civilians upon which the very machinery of the Israeli state must tread."

“In a rare moment of candor last week, Vice President JD Vance made a pointed, if also mundane, observation: ‘You can’t just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have.’

"Prime Minister Netanyahu’s repeated bombing and ground operations in Lebanon — over and against Iran’s ceasefire terms and Trump’s own demands — have made this clear...
“Not that there was an absence of corruption during Trump's first term or of cruelty as policy under his current regime. But Trump has spent recent months turning the dial of shameless corruption to eleven….” 👇

My latest…
“If the first Trump regime was marked by the right-wing's embrace of bigoted demogoguery and Trump fomenting violence, the second Trump regime seems to be increasingly defined by a celebration of outright corruption...
“The invasion of Lebanon is much bigger than the ambitions & delusions of [Netanyahu].”
Former US Army Major @Harrison_J_Mann argues that Israel’s latest invasion of Lebanon is not just about Netanyahu or Hezbollah, but a broader project of territorial expansion & displacement.
This will ruin your day, perhaps your summer, or even the rest of your life.
But you need to listen to it. You need to know the crimes that are done in your name and with your tax money.
A British surgeon in Gaza testifies that Israeli soldiers used Palestinian children as target practice. One day, they would shoot the children in the testicles, and on other days, in their necks.
They were practicing their shooting on children.
Today, Maurice Bishop would be 82. Leftist Prime Minister of Grenada 1979-1983. Expanded free healthcare, education, literacy, housing, built infrastructure. Strong ties to Cuba+Non-Aligned Movement. Overthrown by CIA-led coup under Reagan. Executed by firing squad at age 38.
💢 Israeli drone kills head of anesthesia at Deir al-Balah hospital as strikes continue across Gaza
🔸 An Israeli drone strike targeted a Palestinian police checkpoint near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah on Saturday, killing Jamal Abu Oun and wounding two others, according to Palestine Online.
▪️Abu Oun was identified in some reports as the head of the anesthesia department at Yafa Hospital and in others as chief nurse at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. He was a resident of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
🔸 Two people wounded — one critically — after Israeli aircraft fired two missiles at a civilian gathering near the Firas market in central Gaza City
🔸 Artillery fire hit northeast of Al-Bureij camp, central and southern Khan Younis, and western Rafah
🔸 A powerful explosion struck the Mawasi area west of Rafah from artillery fire
🔸 Israeli quadcopter drones spotted over the Asdaa prison area and the industrial zone north of Khan Younis
The strikes come one day after five Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks on civilian gatherings and police checkpoints across Gaza.

This is what Israel did today in Gaza, to a one month old baby, along with killing this baby's mother. Israel continues to bomb people who have been displaced, whose homes it has reduces to rubble and who are living in tents. There is no ceasefire. Only uninterrupted genocide.
Next time some pro-Israel idiot (or PEP) says the war in Gaza is over and there’s a ‘ceasefire’ there so why are people still complaining/protesting, send them this:
May 25, 1991: Operation Carlota ended. That day, the last Cuban soldiers came home after 16 years in Southern Africa. They didn’t just defend Angola, they freed Namibia & broke apartheid’s back. One of the greatest acts of internationalism in history. The world still owes Cuba.
"We have seen this playbook before — in Iraq, in Libya, in Venezuela, and in other sites of manufactured consent for illegal war across the world. The Progressive International will not stand silent as it is deployed against Cuba." https://t.co/kqtRz61uVk
Marco Rubio posted a video to Cubans claiming there’s no oil blockade. Needless to say, it didn’t land well with Cubans who are living through blackouts that became far worse after the U.S. began stopping oil from getting to the island.
🇵🇸 The Trump administration is threatening to revoke visas for the Palestinian delegation to the United Nations unless Palestinian Ambassador Riyad Mansour withdraws his candidacy for vice president of the U.N. General Assembly, according to an internal State Department cable obtained by NPR.
The May 19 cable reportedly instructed U.S. diplomats to pressure Palestinian officials to abandon the bid ahead of June 2 elections for one of the assembly’s 21 vice president posts.
The cable described Mansour as someone with a “history of accusing Israel of genocide,” and warned his appointment would undermine Trump’s Gaza agenda. The cable also threatened to revisit visa waivers previously granted to Palestinian diplomats at the PLO’s U.N. mission in New York.
That the Democratic Party establishment seems to be so profoundly incapable of learning is not merely the result of feckless leadership. It's that its leadership remains so deep in AIPAC's pockets.

🇸🇸 Civilians in South Sudan are being killed, raped, abducted, and bombed as violence rapidly escalates across the country, Doctors Without Borders warned in a new May 2026 report.
➤ MSF said it treated 6,095 victims of violence in 2025 alone, including 3,479 people wounded by gunfire, explosions, airstrikes, and other weapons.
➤ MSF says all sides in the conflict, including government forces, SPLA-IO fighters, and allied militias, are carrying out attacks that increasingly target civilians. Witnesses in Jonglei described soldiers killing women, children, and elderly people as families fled burning villages.
➤ Healthcare facilities are also under attack. MSF says it has faced 12 attacks on its staff and medical sites this year, including bombings, shootings, looting, and abductions. Two hospitals in Old Fangak and Lankien were destroyed by aerial bombardment, cutting off care for hundreds of thousands of people.
➤ The report also warns of catastrophic hunger among displaced families. In Chuil, MSF screened 2,500 children and found 36% suffering from moderate acute malnutrition and another 22% from severe acute malnutrition — an emergency-level crisis that points to widespread starvation conditions among children displaced by the fighting.
