@gaborhojtsy @mortensonsam Right. Yeah, it was mostly a confusion of say zen which goes back to Drupal 5.x days (and has a 5.x-1
.x branch to having a 8.x-7.x branch. So having a 8.0.x branch and being 'ahead' of 8.x-7.x just looks strange.

@gaborhojtsy @mortensonsam I wasn't really thinking of it in terms of future versions lining up with the Drupal version number so much as having a 4.x-1.x branch of old next to a 4.0.x/4.1.x/etc branch

If changes are breaking and we're adding new version numbers, it's just going to be weird getting to the (4-8) branches on the modules that have been around that long (and hopefully will be around for longer)

@bryjbrown I'm semi torn...on the one hand, maintaining oss is often thankless, we all have shit to do...on the other hand, being upfront what isnt implemented goes a long way. All in all...thanks for reporting this :)
