@savechildrenuk Thank you for standing with communities affected by Ebola. 🙏 Children are especially vulnerable, and every life matters. May this support bring healing, protection, and hope to families who have lost loved ones. We must never forget the children who need our care and compassion

We welcome this investment from the UK Government to scale up the emergency response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC.

Children are some of the most vulnerable to contracting the disease with a 57% mortality rate for those under five, compared with 29% for adults. Over 350 children have lost their lives already, with many more facing the trauma of losing parents and caregivers.

Supporting countries on the frontline of outbreaks like this keeps everyone safer, because when there are clinics and hospitals that can't cope and governments that can't keep track of the illness, diseases like Ebola will spread further and faster.
