Missing one simple point. Electronic components & batteries are not daily consumption items while fossil fuels are. You need to import them on daily basis (figuratively) while electronic components can be built in India or those were imported users for years.
India is in a strange catch-22.
Petrol and diesel are imported, so the government wants to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
But EVs aren’t a perfect solution either right now. A large part of the battery cells, motors, power electronics, semiconductors, and even many infotainment components are imported.
Rapid EV adoption can simply shift import dependence from oil to technology and critical minerals.
That’s why we see incentives for EVs, but not an all-out push to replace every petrol vehicle overnight.
Who’s paying the price? Us.
Transitioning to E85 seems counterintuitive given that current vehicles aren't equipped to use it, requiring fleet replacements. Wouldn't it be more efficient for the govt to prioritise the expansion of EV infra instead of investing in E85 stations that offer limited utility?
Ethanol for cars is made from crops growing on subsidized fertilizer. The subsidy was for growing crops for food security. But now, tens of thousands of crores of subsidy will be subsumed into manufacturing ethanol. Don't tell me no one told you that before ...
Gen Z Cockroach:
"We need to get back to Ballot Papers. I'm an IT Professional.
-> I can HACK EVM easily by 3 codes. It is coded by Python Full Stack"😭
Drug dealers are definitely doing overtime around Jantar Mantar🤣
Proof that the 'Cockroach Protest' is not an organic GenZ protest but an extension of previous regime-change operations (Thread)
Look at woman in blue dress holding a placard "Dharmendra Pradhan istifa do".
Her name is Sudesh Goyat. She hails from Hisar, Haryana.

Vivek Agarwal's father was admitted to MAX Hospital. Seven members of his family were staying at the ill-fated Hotel Flourish Stays, where the fire broke out.
Not a single one of them survived.
Entire family was wiped out because some fire officer allegedly took a bribe to issue a fire clearance, some government babu never checked the building plans, and authorities ignored the illegal restaurant operating in the basement.
Now they will find the owner and put all the blame and act as if they are serious. But they won't allow anyone to talk about the system failure that made this tragedy possible.
Sadly, the news cycle will move on, and so will most people.
One of the most horrific experience of buying an Iphone at Unicorn which is an authorised Premium Retailer of @Apple
I walked into the Hazratganj,Lucknow store of Unicorn knowing exactly what to buy. Asked the sales guy to get the same billed. In the next 2 mins the phone was at the billing counter with a phone cover & screen guard accessory.
I simply asked him to remove the same, but he did not budge insisting its under some offer & cannot be billed without the same. After arguing for 5 mins he gave up & asked the billing person to bill the same. Dont know how the system could now bill just the phone. I just got it billed & paid.
After the billing , the sales guy asked me to open the box which was absolutely okay. Following which he insisted that the phone needs to be switched on & activated in the store itself. I didnt want to activate or switch it on there at the store, since it was meant to be gifted.
He had the audacity to say ‘You cannot take the phone out of the showroom without activating’. The phone has been paid for & now belongs to me, how can a sales person just do this?
I put my foot down, that i will not activate or switch on the phone. Either you cancel the transaction or let me take the same.
After 20 mins of policy lecturing by the apple team & the store manager, I was finally able to take the phone without activating.
I just want to ask @AppleSupport that is this a Global or National level policy by you? If not why such policies are being enforced to the customer at a local level which is spoiling the while experience of buying an Apple Product
The biggest reason for such bans are low messaging quality. Brands bombard the customers with promo messages and customers mark & report them spam. Instead of updating the content they keep pushing it.

Everyone is completely right to hate Gautam Adani. He is a terrible entrepreneur.
Instead of doing real business like importing ₹50 plastic electronics from China, slapping a minimalist logo on them and burning $50M in VC money to build a revolutionary D2C brand he is just wasting time.
Look at his utterly boring businesses:
• Building massive deep water ports that actually handle global trade.
• Constructing the world's largest renewable energy parks in the middle of a barren desert.
• Taking on brutal, high risk, decades long infrastructure projects that actually require guts and physical execution.
Nobody else in the private sector has the guts to build such heavy infrastructure businesses. If there is anyone in India who can make India a superpower, it is none other than Mr. Gautam Adani.
But how dare he build the physical backbone of an economy?
He has absolutely no vision. If he really wanted to help the economy, he would launch a podcast and sell a cohort based course on productivity.
