Congratulations on setting a new industry standard for crisis management. When faced with a group harassing your own staff, issuing threats to employees, and sending cow dung to your offices, your decision to fully cave, cancel Valko within 8 days, and issue repeated apologies to the aggressors was certainly... a strategy.

Equally notable is your global communications approach. Ignoring your international playerbase for over two months — no statement, no dialogue, no acknowledgement of a global boycott and petitions — while those same global players continue to be bullied by anti groups you refuse to moderate? A masterclass in enabling a toxic environment through silence.

One must also commend your commitment to creative integrity. Developing a full character like Valko, revealing him as your 6th love interest, then abandoning him completely without defending your own creative work sends a very clear message about how much you value your artists, writers, and vision.

And of course, the content strategy: aggressively pushing paid banners and limited outfits while main stories, orbits, and core progression for existing boys remain neglected for months. Monetization prioritized over substance — shareholders must be thrilled, players less so.

But perhaps most impressive is attempting business as usual — participating proudly in Chinese cultural export programs and promoting your global success — while actively ignoring the very global players who made that success possible.

Incompetence would almost be a compliment at this point. This is a consistent pattern of poor leadership, poor communication, and poor values.

Do better. Bring Valko back.

a lot of people bring up 07/09 as being their worst day, but genuinely, 06/30 was the worst for me.

i cried. i deleted the game. i left work because i was nauseous all morning. i cried some more to my friends.

i felt so stupid. i felt so small and useless and hopeless. i don’t think anything can be worse than how i felt then.

… but i also found i wasn’t the only one who felt this way. i found community. i found y’all. and you guys are pretty cool and funny. thanks for making me feel less alone during this <3
