Andrew Santino just blew my mind with one simple comparison.
A million seconds = 11 days.
A billion seconds = 31 years.
Let that sink in.
We throw around “billionaire” like it’s just “millionaire but with more zeros,” but the actual gap is insane. A million seconds is less than two weeks. A billion seconds is longer than most people’s entire adult lives.
It’s a perfect reminder of how detached our brains are from what these numbers actually mean.
Next time someone casually says “he’s a billionaire,” just remember: that’s not “a lot of millions.” That’s an entirely different universe of scale.
Mind officially blown.
@aaronflint I know your running for the 1st district
But maybe you should ask why @TroyDowningMT is letting a perfect good coal fire power plant effectively sit idle while so many are getting laid off.
Just cause Washington and Oregon doesn’t want our power maybe we could leave it here!
@DanHollaway Totally cool!
If ya study the early Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions.
You can actually see what he is putting together here
I’m not gonna apologize for my nerd boner!
Anyone have a connection they can DM me for @SenMikeLee
Would love to have him on @WBAP247NEWS tomorrow to discuss the reconciliation of the SAVE Act and why it won't work.
Let's chat Senator.
I want to make this clear.
I don't care who you are. You could be anybody. I don't care what your political beliefs are. I don't care who the President is; it could be Trump, or Biden, or Obama or William Henry Harrison.
None of that matters.
If you get personally invited BY THE PRESIDENT to the White House or the SOTU, and you are not dealing with your own impending death or the impending death of a close family member, or the imminent birth of your child, YOU FIGURE OUT A WAY TO GO.
You figure it out.
To decline is disrespectful to the OFFICE of the President (and not the man or woman sitting in that office), and is disrespectful to our Constitution, our flag and our nation.
It's disrespectful.
PERIOD.
I know that's just my opinion and everybody has opinions, but I'm standing on this opinion as being the absolutely correct one to hold.
(Note that my belief has nothing to do with politics or Left/Right. It merely has to do with love for the country that gave you a historic opportunity.)
