Coś o transakcyjności w polityce międzynarodowej. Wielu pisze, że polityka państw to tylko interesy. Nie wiem tylko czy dobrze jest to sprowadzać wyłącznie do interesów w rozumieniu transakcji handlowej, coś za coś.
Polak, Bronisław Malinowski, opisał zwyczaje polinezyjskie, które dały podstawę teorii wymiany społecznej, która nie polega na natychmiastowej gratyfikacji, lecz na budowaniu relacji w dłuższym okresie. Zakłada to budowanie silniejszych więzów, bo po transakcji handlowej każdy z nas się rozchodzi do domu, a tu akt dawania buduje szereg zobowiązań. Jednocześnie naruszenie niepisanych zasad wywołuje oburzenie i może prowadzić do ostracyzmu.
I wydaje mi się, że w tym punkcie relacji z Ukrainą jesteśmy, gdy obdarowany nagle próbuje przejść do systemu handlowego (drony za samoloty).

🇵🇱 🇺🇦. A few words of advice for all those Western “experts” that debate on Eastern European matters, in light of their decades-long track record of “successful” insights and understanding.

For decades you dismissed Polish warnings of the growing threats represented by Russia as nothing but a Polish rightoid form of hysterical russofobia, while ensuring Europeans that all was fine with Putin and that Russia was a reliable and responsible partner. You kept reveling in this narrative even in the face of the fact that the whole freaking Polish political spectrum, from the far right to the far left, was sounding the same alarm.

Now, I already see the same pundits dismissing the current Polish-Ukrainian crisis as another exotic manifestation of Polish rightoid ukrofobia, while missing to see that even the current Polish government, one of the most pro-Ukrainian in Europe (to date), is ringing the same bells.

You may dismiss this whole story as just some stupid squabble over historical grievances fueled by Russian propaganda (and in part it is), but at its core there are fundamentally critical questions to be addressed regarding Europe’s security and future, including the growing relevance of extreme far-right narratives in many units of what today is the most lethal European army, the future architecture of security in Eastern Europe (with the now quite explicit objective by Kyiv to cut out and isolate Poland), not to mention the need by the Ukrainian leadership to find a scapegoat that will explain why entering the EU is not going to prove the “walk in a park” they’ve promised their citizens.

Zelensky has proven a formidable war leader, but he is also capable of disastrous decisions (I see you all already forgot too easily when Ukrainians had to flood the streets and squares of a country at war to oppose his wicked attempts to subvert the anti-corruption judiciary).

And someone from the West should remind Zelensky that being a great leader at war doesn’t make you instantly a good leader in peace (the Poles have something to teach also regarding that - check that at the entry “Piłsudski”). As a matter of fact, his pre-war track record of “peace politics” has been an utter disaster.

Else, don’t be shocked if at some point another Euromaidan kicks off in Kyiv, this time at the direction of Zelensky & co.

Yes, Russia will undoubtedly benefit from this. Not because Poland is changing its strategic interests, but because no durable alliance can be built on the glorification of German Nazi collaborators, individuals associated with the Holocaust, and those responsible for the planned ethnic cleansing of Polish civilians.

Building Ukraine’s national pantheon around figures from the OUN and UPA will steadily erode public support for Ukraine in Poland. This is not a problem of Polish historical memory - it is the consequence of political choices made in Kyiv.

Strategic partnerships require not only shared interests but also a shared understanding of the moral boundaries that define modern Europe. Elevating such figures to the status of national heroes makes it increasingly difficult for Polish leaders - regardless of their political affiliation - to sustain broad public support for Ukraine.

Whether this is the result of historical blindness or a catastrophic political miscalculation, the outcome is the same: Moscow could hardly have designed a more effective way to undermine one of Ukraine’s most important alliances. There is an old saying that pride goes before a fall. History also teaches that folly rarely walks far behind it…

Wyobraźmy to sobie i wtedy wróćmy do rozmowy pt: że może w starciu z Prezydentem Nawrockim to Żełeński ma rację.

This is one of reasons why our medical help system just derailed now.
